My new AT900P with Yonex overgrip.
I think the hardest part is just keeping it even.

nice. now you need to practice getting it done as nicely within 30 secs when 3 other ppl are standing in the court waiting for you to finish wrapping it! :)

The step that takes the most time is trimming the end diagonally so that you have a nice finish once you put the wrapping tape on. I might start experimenting with doing it reverse style (like LCW) to see if that will decrease time.

    It's a U3G3, it's as big as they go for AT900P.

And you put the overgrip directly on the wood ?

it doesn't look like it. i have wrapped overgrip directly over wood before and the edges came out much sharper than the one in the photo.

and being sharp and very hard made it really unusable.

No I wrapped it on top of the original grip. As a matter of fact I didn't even take out that brand new plastic wrap. Because I'm afraid overtime the overgrip may somehow stick to the original grip.

It's a nice even grip, well done. The grip would stick to the original in time, but it generally just peels off and leaves some stickyness behind, which you just grip over again. I have left the plastic grip on one before and it's good.
I personally like it to be a bit bumpy at the overlap as I feel I can grip it better.

I have actually found that putting an overgrip on top of the plastic can sometimes result in slipping of the grip. I like to put two strips of double sided tape onto the plastic before putting the overgrip on it, or otherwise removing the plastic outright.
