Lin Dan 500K € a year ?
I've seen this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVSNyan0g58
It's in French, @the end, they say someone like Lo Ying Ping earns 2K€ a month & Lin Dan 500K a year, i wanted to know if that was true. They also say 1/6 of Chinese ppl play this sport, i think they exaggerated.

I thought Lin Dan earn a little more than that? I heard him earning at least 1 million euros per year from commercial and advertisement. In my honest opinion, saying 1/6 of Chinese ppl playing badminton is a very conservative figure. Badminton is huge in Asia and is the second most popular sport world wide after soccer. Of course, badminton is not as popular in Europe/North america.

Yes, you are right. I saw the report as well. If I'm not mistaken, Lin Dan was ranked 7th or 8th (cant really recall) and his total earning for that year was somewhere close to the amount you mentioned. Still, Lin Dan is planet away from Yao Ming and Liu Xiang... hehe
