Can you take macro pictures of the Ti Mesh? Also no serial code = fake usually?

Oooo.... old style Ti-10. this must be one of the earlier batches of Ti-10 before Yonex started using the new style serial number.

if in good condition, it is a keeper.

Pardon my ignorance, but when did the new serial numbers come into effect?

My question would be where did you get it from? I doesn't sound fake, but the origin could be diagnostic. Got a pic of the coding?

GR code, old style serial. Don't see a reason why it would be a fake. Don't exactly remember the bags you got with them over here at the time though ... (european bags have often differed from the Asian ones and not for the positive ;))

I think shaft serials were introduced in 2000 (otherwise 2001). Wonder if that R stands for regular ... ?

I didn't realise Ti10 was availble then. Anyone know the release date?

Yep, introduced in 1999. There are a couple of those in the serial number thread already but the search engine in this version of vbulletin doesn't seem to allow wildcard searches [IMG]

Yep it´s still new but one thing I wondered about was that the plastic wrap differs from the newer yonex racquets

on the basis of the coding you can check if it´s genuine? Will upload the coding soon.

got it from someone, who works in a badmintonshop so... dunno ;)

When did you get it & how much you pay?

These can be diagnostic as well.

Coding can help to tell if it is fake or not, but of course coding/serials are only numbers.

I am sure the wrapping has changed over the years. Is it shrunk wrapped?

If you can obtain the specs of the original why not try weighing it, check the balance point and flex and see if it "matches"?

The letter "R" really just indicates that the colour scheme of the racquet as "Red", which is what the original Ti-10 has been specified as.

I remembered with one of my original Ti-10s with production code dating 1999, the cover looked exactly like the one pictured.

I believe this one is genuine.

I really hope that this racket is real. Need to see closeup photos of it... at the moment...i suspect that it is a fake.

so far i see nothing that indicates it is fake.

    GR coded with old serial.

there are VERY VERY few GR coded fake, and esp for fakes that has old serial number, and in such good quality.
