let us review what did those criticizer said in past:
    fancy

    arrogant

    fat

    slow

    skinny

    2 smash wonder

    no fighting spirit

    no attitude

    no fire

    not serious

    always underestimate opponent

always lost to lower ranked pair

    mas md version of yoyo

    should split them

    uncle also cannot beat

    youngster also cannot win

    and bla bla bla

i had wrote a comment here: post 151
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?87124-Kedah-Open%28national-circuit%2921-24-8-2010/page9
(had another one with more complete opinion but i forget in which tournament)

but now,i hope those koo/tan criticizer to comment on koo/tan performance here once again
(i hope they wont just dig and hide themself in a small hole since the quater final victory against lee/jung)
let me guess about comment will appear:
1,they only yoyo up for this tournament, they are so lucky to face a 'injured'/'not fully recovered' lee/jung in quater final,if not, they wont be able to enter semi final
2,they are lucky to enter quater final because chai/zhang is only small kids
3,they are lucky to enter final because the chinese md suddenly lost focus in 2nd game after leading with so many points

    so,(to those criticizer)dont feel shy/shame
please feel free to comment like what u guys did in the past!

win or lost in the final doesn't matter much as silver is our best performance in wc so they had at least equaled the feat

Koo/Tan should play like Taufik...with a nothing to lose attitude.

If they face Fu/Cai in the Final tomorrow, I sincerely hope they can nail the WC to shut the mouth of the critics!

If they face Kido/Hendra in the Final tomorrow, I am sorry to say that I will hope for the INA pair to win their 2nd WC :)

So, what's the trend saying for tomorrow? They will finally nail the elusive WC title after decades of heart-break for MAS?

    I sincerely hope so....

Players must be given criticism to progress. But I don't call those critics post that limsy mentioned criticism - that's more of NAME CALLING. Well, all the best to them tomorrow, but win or lose, remember that they saved MAS's medal hopes.

Koo Kien Keat may be fanciful and appear arrogant.

But, his achievements speak for himself:
    1. AG Winner
    2. AE Winner
    3. 2 Bronze Medallist at WC (with different partners)
    4. Multiple SS titles.

Was there any other MD player in the past with Koo's achievements? The Sidek Brothers? Cheah/Soo? Cheah/Yap?

And now with a guaranteed Silver Medal and aiming for the Gold (which has yet to be done by any MAS player before), Koo may just create history tomorrow. But I agree with limsy's comment that even with a loss, he and Tan Boon Heong have nothing to be ashamed of as long as they play their best tomorrow!

    We shall see.....

congrats to them. thankfully, world championship now has no great value, juz like another open series.
only notable achievements for an asian shuttler is thomas/uber cup, sudirman cup, asian games and olympics.

if i'm reading right, the thread title shows "criticizer", meaning there's only 1 person?? not more than 1 person??..

As mas badminton fan, i do really wish to see our shuttlers become world championship winner. And now, this is the great time for KKK/TBH to do it for malaysia.

Limsy purposely create this thread to slap those ppl (including me) who look down and criticise this pair in past time. He waiting so long for it. This is the way he shows his supports to his beloved shuttlers. No matter how bad shuttlers doing, he is still backing-up them. And i must say most of Bcers here, especially mas fans were the same as Limsy's-full supports without hesitation.

Well done. This is what our shuttlers need. No negative comments, all good words, as same as what the most popular thread in chit chat session-Singapore Also Can.

Unfortunately, i am not as same as Limsy and others.

Again, if the pair manage to clinch the championship, i wiill stop criticise mas shuttlers and stop posting in BC thread.

MALAYSIA BOLEH. Hopefully this pair will give us the best present for our Merdeka DAy celebration this year.

You got the first one correct.

But, in my opinion, we are not "no negative comments, all good words" fans. I am very critical of the way my favorite players/pairs play. In this instance Kido/Hendra. I was not relenting in my comments that Kido has declined a lot since his lengthy injury and turned independent. Most of the errors in the yesterday's defeat also turned out to be Kido's faults!

But, does it mean that I stop supporting this pair? Very unlikely as I had seen them grow up from an infant pair (at the end of 2004) to Olympics Champions (2008) to now still a very good pair, but I doubt they can challenge the top pairs without any systematic training and committment from both players.

Constructive comments and criticisms are needed, esp if players are made known of those problems so that they can improve! But if all of us are "all negative comments and no positive words" fans, I guess, the players/pairs don't need that kind of support.

The same it goes for Koo/Tan or LCW. We know what are their problems but does that mean we have to focus on those problems and discredit them for all their victories and contributions to MAS badminton? I would say that LCW is the best MAS MS player in the past 2-3 decades (correct me if I am wrong). Similarly too for Koo/Tan. But it is surprising that they were also the most criticized player/pair in the history of MAS badminton!
