    Dr. Ravi Kiran,
I just came to HK and also wish to play badminton. I am not an advanced player, just an intermediate one, but greatly enjoy the game. I will move next week in the HK University of sc. and tech., where they have a gym with bad courts. If I manage to secure a court on a regular basis, would you be willing to join me? You can write to me at zebgib@free.fr
    Thanks!
    David

    To Ravi & David,

My level should be between intermediate to advance. Can I join you guys? I am going to HK for 2 months starting this weekend for holiday. So my time is very flexible as long as there is court. We can try a session to see if our level match. You may reply to this thread or email at miceman@yahoo.com.

    play with you soon!
    Kenneth

    Hello All
I would be interested in joining if you do not mind an older player. I am still active at some Master's tournament and my level is B+.
I shall be in Hong Kong on March 15th.
    Cheers

If you havent noticed already Hongkong is one of the worst places to find people to play badminton.

Aside from it being nearly impossible to book a decent location most clubs are antisocial and the people just don't want to waste time organising.

Fortunately most of the people here are expats and are very social and dont mind organising but again very difficult if you are only popping in for a week or 2

I must say I agree with you, bazzaman, though I'm in HK since only 9 months. I find it quite difficult to meet people to play, in opposition to Beijing where you just have to go to any gym to find people ready to play... That is why I did not answer to some of the folks above who came for a month or so. Sorry guys.
But anyway, I have the possibility to book a court any day before noon where I live, which is quite far : the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in Clear Water Bay. So if anyone wants to do some rallies...please contact me at the email address on post #2 of this thread.

Hi, I don't know the meaning of grades E and D, but yes, I could do some training, or help someone who wishes to train for competition. I have a friend here with the same desires. So please contact me at zebgib@free.fr! Our schedule is quite open.

I live in Seaview Crescent. I love to play too, either at Seaview or at Tung Chung Crescent. We have regular schedule on Thursday 8 to 10pm. You are welcome to join. HK$30 for two hours, shuttle included. I might ask for another section on Monday evenings or others if we have some players.
