I remember Cheah Soon Kit used to be the hardest smasher in the late 90s.

Of course I didn't have the internet at that time so all these info are from word of mouth

Mabe get Kwun to create polls for separate categories, e.g. Smasher, Backhander, net player etc.
    Then further create periods e.g. 1961-1970; 1971-1980; 1981-1990; 1991-2000; 2001-2010
Leave the polls open for say 60 days or thereabouts, and then declare the results.
good idea but we cannot create the said periods. only 12 options for poll, which we can place the players' name.
we go some most important shots such as smash, dropshot, netplay, deceptive shots. whereas other shots are not so good winning point, such as backhand, serve, drive etc... if not, we will be ending with 10-20 threads. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...(Strokes-Shots)
i am ready to create poll here but need some players for vote. example, how about we set the period from 1980-2010, span of 30 years. new open era, carbon rackets.

I vote for having no period at all. 12 players from all era will be much fun, anyway we all know that they come from different era and make judgement on our own way.

The most memorable for me is Ricky/Rexy after won the OG 96 MD they celebrated it with huging together with their coach Christian Hadinata. something simillar with KinDra did in the last Beijing Olympic.

How about the "huge over floor" between Lee Kyung Won and Kim Moon Soo after they beat CHN pair to win the Uber Cup ???

Sounds fine to me! Maybe categories such as "Legends of the Smash" and "Legends of the Backhand" and "Legends of the Impossible Returns" then?

The top four teams in the current men double definitely deserve their own spot on the list with their respective smasher.

I would love to see a game between
FHF/Kido vs JJS/TBH (guess who is going to win?)

That wouldn't be that interesting since nobody would be able to return all the smashes....

Where's Fu Haifeng? But don't know who to take off from the list, maybe we should have one for singles and another poll for doubles smashers.

Maybe separate polls for singles and doubles players? There are different strategies and tactics at work in the 2 formats, and therefore different physical preparation as well.

I dont think you serve the purpose of this thread at all. What is wrong with the process of people giving ideas and decide?? If you are too smart to be here or if you think that think thread is a dumb one, then you dont you just piss off??

It would be so ridiculous if you not add Liem Swie King and Heriyanto Arbi on the list. they were famous for their attacking play style. And who the hell is Kido Setiawan ??
