Yonex Shuttle

Hai there!
I got a question on yonex shuttlecocks.As i know,yonex produce many types of shuttle for instance,they do have AEROSENSA 2,10,40 and etc-etc.So actually what makes such difference? It's like the same for me.><

Surely the flight and durability difference...
If i not mistaken, AS20 and above is goose feather and below that is duck feather...
Higher the number, better the quality and surely higher the price, but the price is way too high compare to other brand shuttlecock...

Really? Goose and duck feathers? Yonex does not mention it on their site, i suppose to save themselves from those animal activists.

Anyhoo, to spoil the mood ... i have a question about plastics... Is there really any real difference between the mavis 370/500/2000 (other than price, of course)?

All other brands also using goose or duck feather for shuttlecock...
Plastic, I am not so familiar with it. I have only used Mavis 10 for warm up only, flight is really difference compare to feather shuttlecock, not consistent as it fly fast when smash and dropping point is either ahead or behind...

03,05 & 07 are duck.

10,20,30,40,50 are other.

I have tried AS 10, 30, 40 (BAM training using this) and AS 50

AS 10 is not my playing feeling. AS 30 was ok and AS 50, the cork feels heavy as it is yonex signature feel but the flight and speed was excellent. Durability is excellent too for 2 games of heavy smashing.

I have played 3 games with a yonex shuttle, I don't know which one it was.
I believe AS30. It was a game with all sort of things

Is there a noticeable difference between the weight of the 03 and the 05?

I don't know.

I think the 03 is too fast, and it's good for training and less good players, who just started with playing feather shuttles.
I don't have played with the 5 yet. But I believe, it works the same as with 10,20 etc.: The heigher, the better.
