Maybe you should alter with your current rackets' strings types and tensions first before buying another new racket.

I have good experiences with mid-to-low range Yonex rackets, which are around your price level. I was particularly impressed by the Yonex Nanospeed 300 with NP95 string. Worth the more expensive string - gave a lot of crisp pop on a very user-friendly racket. You could also look into Wilson BLX or K-Factor rackets, which are somewhat within your price range and likewise easy to use. If you're willing to be a little adventurous in taste, try Apacs' original rackets including the Visible Hollow, Lethal, Tantrum, or Armor Muscle Pro series. I personally use the Visible Hollow 2020 (which is within your price range) as my primary racket in preference to AT900P. You can find information on most Apacs rackets in the Equipment forums. Hope that helps.

Strings do make a different, however it is the tension on the strings that are more influencial to the feel that your game is based on. Just a suggestion, the default strings that comes with the rackets when you bought the rackets with are normally too soft (I guess it is at about 18lbs or lesser) for even an beginner to enjoy playing at. The amount of tension on the racket are usually a very personal thing, some like it harder (for more power) and some like it softer (for more control). Normal tension for beginner/intermediate players most often ranged from 21lbs to 24lbs, advance players more often preferred tension from 24lbs to 29lbs and most professional players have their rackets strung at a minimum of 30lbs. You have to experience yourselves at different string tensions to find your preference string tension, a good suggestion to begin with is at 22lbs to start your experiments. It is normal that the string tensions on the racket will increase with the players' experiences and physical strength. Eg, he/she might liked 22lbs when he/she started learning to play badminton as a beginner, he/she will soon realise that 22lbs is too light and now prefer 24lbs in a few years time when his/her skills level is at intermediate level, and so for.

As for strings you can find in the market, their diameter ranged from normally 0.70mm (again more control) to 0.62mm (versus more power). I supposed the most common and popular strings are the one at about 0.66mm.

A good string suggestion for your Apacs 900 Power Red SG (I guess it is similar to Yonex AT900P) will be Yonex BG66 String strung @ 24lbs. Not too sure for your other rackets thou' but I recalled people telling me that most Li-Ning rackets are quite strong and stable and are able to withhold tension at less up to 26lbs with no risk of breaking the rackets.

    Happy experimenting!

is true, i remember tryign different strings to find whats best, i remember using 70pro omg... worst feel for me adn relized medium feel wasnt for me 80 was a good string nice and hard crisp but still was missing something didnt feel right but great power and sound, so then now im stickign with the 60, soft feel, feels easy to use, and last long too, cost less.

Also the fact that i used 19lbs in the beginning, now i have to use 26lbs O.O.
