The recommended tension of MP-90 JP 3U is "17 ~ 22" lbs, while the recommended tension of MP-99 CD or US 3U is "16 ~ 20" lbs. Why is there such a difference?

It'd be interesting to hear from the Yonex sales rep :)

Don't worry. Just enjoy the game and string your racquet to 28 lbs. :D

My MP90JP 2U says 18-23. I strung my MP90 at 28lbs around 4 weeks ago, get to play it for a week and unfortunately had a very slight clash with my doubles partner and it broke. I suggest you string your MP90 at around 22/21 and up to 24/23 and the best tip of all..... dont clash with another racket :D :D

    G'day,

I strung my MP90 proportionally up to 25lbs maximum. Base on the amount of frame deformation I witness when tensioning the strings, I think that's about as much tension as needed for most club level players. At international level where money and racket breakage isn't an major issue I've seen MP90/99s strung up to 29lbs.

Please vary the tension of the mains and crosses as you string from the middle to the outer ends.
