This is the latest Silicon Power series from Ashaway. So far I know of 3 models: Silicon 8, 10 and 12. Here's a pic of the Silicon 12. It plays like a Yonex MP100 but feels a little lighter. All the three models have Muscle Power bumps. The Silicon 10 feels like a Yonex Ti10 with its slim shaft and heavy head. I haven't had the chance to test the Silicon 8 yet. Cosmetics are great. High quality finish. Comes with a huge 3 compartment thermo bag!
I would rate its power to be somewhere between MP90 and MP100. But its swings much faster. Definitely a great racket for wrist players. Very slightly head heavy. Medium flex. More flexible than MP90 or MP100. 3U weight. Very slightly shorter than MP90 and MP100 but still longer than standard length.
hei mongoose juz how much did u pay for the racket? i'm planning to get 1 myself but i'm not sure which model! btw the rackets cost around RM180-Rm200 over in kuala lumpur! i find it kinda strange u can hardly find ashaway racket over in US n canada seeing that it's an american brand i already have 2 ashaway models: TMP 600 Ti 100 diiferent racket for different style of play n oso singles/doubles
You've been conned!!! Since these racquets aren't available in Europe yet, and no Euros (I'm guessing have seen them), they are obviously fake ;P
Re: You've been conned!!! Dear Pecheur, I just have a friendly advice. If you do not have anything constructive to say, than don't say anything at all. Cos' otherwise, you are just making yourself look like a fool. I strung mine at 24/26 lbs. Feels like it can take 28 lbs easily. S$100+
ashaway have different rackets for the asian and european market just like victor! models like xt555 n xt5000 are onli meant for the european market only and juz bcoz u cant find it in your area doesnt its a fake
I think you missed the fact that I was joking? This goes back to people claiming that the TMP series, and the Asian Prince Threat were fakes since they either weren't available, or different to the Euro versions
do you guys see those rubber things at the bottom of the racquet head? Is that like a shock dampner from a tennis racquet technology or something?
