Here the nomination: 1.Susi Susanti 2.Gong Zichao 3.Ye zhaoying 4.Lee soo suk 5.Mia Audina 6.Gong Ruina 7.Ivana Lie 8.Bang So Hyun
Graceful as in fluidity constant motion with unlimited stamina, playing badminton like ballet dancing, plus major achievements e.g. OLY, WC, AE...then Susi and GZC are in a class of their own...I would add KOR BSH in. Todays WS players will be smacked silly playing against them, and if play their pace, will die on the court. As for Han and LLW, those grandmas are my age, sorry I haven't seen them play, so no comment
Li Lingwei is pretty graceful. With all due respects to Han Aiping (she was my fav) but her movements are not any close to graceful.
i cannot remember any European player who can be considered graceful and at the same time good enough to be memorable. i guess we can put Camilla Martin in the list but i would say hardly qualfies.
Wow. These players are before my baddy time. Thank goodness for youtube. By golly they could really move! eg. Susi Susanti:
The thread opens with the most graceful EVER...just about everyone agrees with Susi, then she be the one. After 8 minutes of play, both gals score 8 points in a 15-pt system, and still strong in stamina, if any of today's player play either of these 2 gals, they will be die in the court...I remember XXF played ZN in the 21-pt system, and score in 3rd set was 18-26, and both were exhausted, if either one play Susi/Ye, habis, no chance lah. I just liked the way Susi serve, those eyes were so cool, fearless under pressure and that is what a champion is about...fearless! Todays WS is terribly missing players like Susi/Ye, their matches were epic in badminton, sheer delight to watch over and over again. Thanks God, for whoever invent DVD, is it Al Gore since AL claimed to invent internet
