Japan open is a real test for LCW, who has to beat
    • Gurusaidatt - an unknown in the 1st round
    • Hafiz - easy cruise in the 2nd round
    • Bao CL - easy winning head to head record in the 3rd cound
    • Sony / Chen Long (Chen Jin WDN) - tied both in head to head in the semi
    • Lin Dan - the real test in the final because of losing head to head record

LCW's route to the title is typically from easy to hard, even the head to head record becomes harder and harder on the way. That's good for him to build up confidence and momentum, and avoid losing in the early rounds. Hope he can keep and gain more momentum on the route to the title.

KKK/TBH got a easy draw, real fighting will start from
    • the 3rd round facing Fang/Lee. Then
    • 4th round against LYD/JJS
    • final with CY/FHF or Kido/Setiawan.
    • The unstoppable Chinese army are all in the 2nd half. That's a very good news for KKK/TBH.

Generally speaking, both LCW and KKK/TBH got pretty good draw, it's their best time to win the titles togother.

BTW, Both World Champions Chen Jin and Wang Ling have withdrawn.

..i read in "LCW" thread, a couple or so members suggested LCW should just take it easy (esp. with his aching back), even to suggest to just go as far as the 2nd round, and just prep. for the CWG..

Yup LCW would take it easy and cool as the rumors say that Yonex told him to go no matter his injury...

i feel that JJS/LYD is back on track during yesterday match against "The Storm Warriors"... hopefully koo/tan will be more stronger in japan open than in WC...

I would rather place more focus on KKK/TBH than LCW. I think they should get past Fang/Lee, so the real test is against JJS/LYD as usual. However, of course, sometimes they like to lose in early rounds... :(

    Storm Warrior so damn lucky

Support the underdog..again CHina sapu all titles in China MASter in their own backyard. BWF should downgrade this to GP Level cos lack of participant frm other countries. SO dull for them to win all again. Fung Wan is riding on luck. they gain points frm opponent mistakes. Always got comfortable lead. Indon, Msia & Korea top pair cant beat them. I see their skills also not that good. Like Chen Jin, his skill nothing special but manage to win WC title. Cant believe it. The fung wan wear new Kason purple shirt...suddenly Kason sponsor them.
