Now using BG66 Ultimax JP 28 lbs. both in my Voltric 80 and ArcSaber 10.
Great control and repulsion, hitting sound is crisp.
One of the best string I ever had beside BG66 Sharp which have been discontinued

BG66UM is the best when fresh. But after a few weeks then tension drops alot. If you don't break it...you'll be cutting it (in about a month). It's what I learned with my VT80LTD strung with BG66UM @ 27lbs. I need to get it re-strung .

Nah, it just means its my fave string this week
Yeah my 66U is only 3 weeks old so I can't say anything in terms of durability or tension loss, but both those factors are last on my requirements list....unless its VS850 in which case the tension loss was so bad it made me largely abandon it even though I love it.

I recently got both my Victor MX80s strung with BG-66UM about 4 weeks ago, and one of the rackets has nose dived in tension (the one I use most regularly) so I've now gone to my other racket which was strung at same tension as the one I use regularly just feels very spongey.
String was very good, but the rapid loss of tension is a concern! I do play a lot but this shouldn't happen so fast!

Maybe its a pro's or a very rich mans string? It wasn't designed to be durable. mine lasted about the same time. currently experimenting with bg80p and i can't get the shuttle to spin very well

I used to use bg80. Its a good all round string but won't give any advantage except it is reliable. Bg66um gives excellent control but not as much power as bg80p or even bg80. I prefer bg66um just for the accuracy but 80p is growing on me. i haven't worked out how to spin the shuttle with it yet. maybe its the braiding.

I definitely prefer BG80 I think. I've got a couple of Victor VS850 sitting here so might give them a try.
What you you mean by 'spin' the shittle diverdan?

I don't really like BG80, I don't like the hard feeling but I love to use BG66/UM because of the power and the control of these strings

Hi Shaz,
Have a look at these clips. Notice how the shuttle is spinning instead of tumbling. It makes it harder for your opponent to return.
