    ive seen a lot of players yell after they win a point (including the manerly peter gade) but i have never seen taufik yell during a match... anyone know why?

    ok fine he very RARELY yells, but still, why?

    Maybe because he (TH) doesn't have much left to prove to anyone? ;):)

    Also, in the very early part of his career he was much more demonstrative, and I think his coaches believed he was losing his mojo/focus/energy/core-centering too often because of this. So they probably told him to practise more visualization and bring on a calmness when he steps out to play. That helps him to remain, as some players call it, "in a bubble." I believe he alluded to something like this in one of his interviews.

    He may not yell after winning a point, but he does often pump his fist when he wins a hard fought rally.

    Yes, and after he wins a match, he doesn't get into contortions, or do an imitation of a fish out of water... ;):D

    lol yes hafiz yell was funny!
    taufik doesnt even yell that much anymore ofter he wins a game, unlike lcw who did a really big one after he won all england

    Yeah! :) I remember the China Masters 2008 when Taufik got a questionable line call in his favour and a few points later he went on the win the match. He had a huge laugh and was enjoying the whole turnaround at 22-20, even trying to get Hafiz to see the lighter side of it. And Hafiz was like, "dude, it ain't that funny!" :) LOL.

    Heh, that was like 9 yrs ago... I'm sure he's mellowed out since then...
    Especially since he punched the wrong guy and probably settled out of court with some $$$ :eek:

    Yup thats true, does not mean if TH punched a guy then he's no more the nice guy

    if im not mistaken it was at a local tourno in central java. As you probably know the typical court in INA where crowds are very close to the action. And apparently TH was mocked or something and the incident was erupted. But I heard TH has made a formal appology to that.

    If that happend to LD, he probably would have killed the guy :D:D

    I remember when Taufik beat Gade in the All England Quarterfinal in 2009, he yelled really loud and quite long, kinda as if he won the WC again. :3
