bought an IP AT700 last 2008 from HK and during a game last week the racket was suddenly wobbling when i wave it. the wobble is in the cap area where the serial number is engraved. anybody know whats the problem here?

You need to expand on "wobble".....

I would suspect the connection between the shaft & handle isn't secure....

    Pics would also help.

Could it be a fake racket? I had the same problem with a friend's fake MP 100. The handle eventually snapped from the cone when I did a jump smash. Moments before it snapped, it was wobbling.

Yup, the conection isn't secure thus the wobble....do you know any solution for this?
I dont think its fake....i had it checked here using the serial number.

Codes & serials are just one method of telling fake or not.....pictures are the most diagnostic.

As for a cure - I don't know, superglue wouldn't really help but it is possible to replace a handle so a repair by someone who knows what they are doing should be feasible.

ok....i'll post a pic if i can get a good camera, what i have now is just a phonecam.

maybe i can use the handle of busted yonex racket. so you'd go with super glue rather than wood glue?

    I think I said super glue wouldn't help :)

Whatever you use it needs to withstand the torsion effect of a hitting the shuttle.

found out what the problem was and it was a broken handle...I unscrewed the screw on the upper part of the handle and the shaft came off when i gave it a little pull. the wooden part under the cap broke off from the rest of the handle thats why it wobbled. just used some epoxy in an attempt to revive it:eek: hope the pics could help if what i bought was a real AT700.

My friend has destoyed a lot of 700's the same way. Tried to fix them at Yonex DK, but it only took one smash for it to wobble again, he eventually threw them out and bough mine :)
