Sorry about last Saturday. Had to stay around home to be taxi service for the kids getting off work late. By the time all home, it was quite late to get down there. Was it busy last Saturday night?

LOL... Doesn't this apply to all the males who have cars here? Seems everyone here and there will complain about the "taxi" services: wife, kids, gf, etc...

I'd like to get into some of these "badrad's smash sessions" too, sounds like a blast! Are we all just gluttons for punishment or what? heheh It was semi-busy for a Saturday. Around 10PM everyone started leaving. By 11 it seemed hardly anyone was there at all. Odd for a Saturday night when most people stay well past 10. Nowadays at the club, between Friday and Saturday nights, I find it so hard to judge which will be more busy. Pretty much a turkey shoot.
Yeah Well Timeless, Poor Marky was so beaten up by end of the evening that I thought someone had to drag him off the court. Actually his muscles gave up on him. It was a very fun and frustrating session, as I had to cope with defensive play (hum, you know what I mean) during the last three games. Badrad should be there to advantage of that.

I plan on being in Vancouver late this spring. Where do you guys play. Would like to meet some of you for a hit and discuss what I find out about this CN?CP thing.
Only way to learn is for some kick in the pants every time one screws up, like lifting too much, especially in doubles. Not to say it's always bad, because if you do lift, there are different ways to do so, not to get yourself or your partner in trouble. AHhhh - what the heck - we'll just smash the s**t out of them, okay? You just keep pushing it in their face, I'll keep the pressure on from the back... I really like the sweet spot on that Ashaway now. PS: Just don't serve high, and don't cough it up at the net. Pretty simple stuff.
Don't be mad at me Marky~ I was your partner in your last game remember? I tried my best to keep Pete at bay. Next time I'll try to join you guys earlier instead of for the very last game.
badrad, PeteLSD, marky, and I play at Vancouver Racquets Club (VRC). There are other members of the forum that play at other clubs in Vancouver as well. The info you'll need to find the club should be here: http://www.vrc.bc.ca It would be cool to all get together at any club, and play, socialize, etc. Let us know when you're coming and maybe we can set something up?
Cool - We can gather most of the vancouver contingency - Pete_LSD, Marky, Viver, WInex_west_can, Timeless. Maybe even some of the younger kids like JCHEN99 and others. VRC Saturday nights good as any - except likely get very busy...
Count me in. I usually play at the Richmond Badminton Club but should be able to swing a night at the VRC on occassions.
