Anybody know if there is a shelf life for string?
With BG66 and BG70Pro being hard to find in the UK I got some over the internet.
The BG70Pro looks to be over 7 years old, so I was wondering...

i belive strings harden and become brittle (less power and durability) if it's open and exposed to oxygen/air. I'm not sure if it is damaged if it's sealed perfectly, though there might be enough oxygen in the pack to do damage.

if there sealed properly and stored properly, i don't think theres anyway of damaging it.

Never know whether the store/dealer stored it properly (also, during delievery) before purchase or not. If they miss place the packs under heavy cases, or left in high temperature places for a period of time, it could be damaged.
