    Good day to all,

I know there are many people asking for recommendations on badminton rackets, but I cant seemed to be able to really zoom in on the few rackets that might suit me. I am a beginner to intermediate player (still a lot to learn), my style of play is more offensive but am learning to do more control placing as well as drop shots. So to speak, I am trying to be more of an all-rounder than just plain offensive kind of player.

I have tried my friend's armortec series of rackets and find them quite suitable but a little too head heavy, making me tired out in just a while. I play a more doubles than singles badminton player. I did read up on the different treads and have in mind rackets like Apacs Tantrum 200 being an ideal rackets. I would like to know if there are any other slightly head heavy rackets that any of you would recommend?

My budget would be around 100SGD, either brand new or 2nd hand but in relatively mint condition. :D

My older brother is also looking for a new badminton racket. Well, I've played with him before, he has good techniques and is more of a control player. He doesn't smash a lot and label himself as a defensive player. He is also a beginner to intermediate player and would prefer something that is not head heavy. His budget would be around 150SGD.

Thanks in advance for reading my long post and for any help and recommendations made. :p

PS: I am currently using Wilson HyperCarbon 9.0 while my older brother is using Yonex Carbonex8 SP (2UG5)

You can try Apacs Visible 2000, or if budget allow try Apacs Lethal 60. For your brother can try Apacs new racket Slayer 88 or Tantrum 200.

Thanks all for the reply.. Haha.. At one point, I thought my tread is overlook and forgotten and started to read up on the reviews and such.. So many rackets and reviews.. Getting kind of lost in the ocean of information.. Lolx..

@JLLsn88: How is Apacs VH series as compared to maybe Lethal and Tantrum?

@Ah Peng: I haven't read much on the Proace rackets.. Hahaha..

@Yoppy: I actually borrowed a friend's Lethal 70 and Tantrum 300 for a test yesterday.. Played 2 games each for a starter and well found the racket very different from my Wilson Hypercarbon 9.0 (which I've been using for more than 5 years).. I don't really know how to explain but just different.. Hahaha.. Anyway, after two games, I find myself using Tantrum more..

@Drew and Lalalala: Any particular shop in Queensway?

Actually I was reading up on the Panda and Zelm rackets after a friend kind of talk about it casually.. I know it would most probably be over the budget stated.. Lolx.. But seems like trinity 2 and PP10k are very good..

In the end, I wonder if it is just me.. As I have read that people saying that the Lethal and Tantrum, one can clear shots to the back easily; but I still seemed to not be doing that on a consistent basis.. =X

Well I would suggest either GALA Sports on the 1st floor #01-33 or S.S.Sports on the 2nd floor #02-30
