    A higher pitch sound means the string is at a higher tension. If you can't get any power then go lower in tension.

    If you prefer factory string and the less dense "twangs" sound, it might indicate that you are more of an arm player with slow hand speed or snap. In that case an even lower tension of 20lbs could be just as good or better.
