    Hi all,

Sigit Budiarto was banned some time ago (i think a 12 month ban in 1999?) for substance abuse, does anyone know what he took or where i can get the information? I need to know what drugs he did take for an essay.

    Kind regards,
    Matt

Sigit is a party animal. ;) He was banned due to use of cocaine. Sorry I don't know more. I am sure others have more detailed information.

They detected "nandralon" after a positive dope check in 1998 ( Singapore Open). He claimed, that he was using "claratin" ( anti-allergic medicine) bevor the competition, not knowing anything about the substances in it. He was banned by the IBF for 13 months ,as far as I remember.

Oh, didn¡¦t know ¡¥Claritin¡¦ has banned substance in it. I thought ¡¥Claritin¡¦ is such a good drug for allergy. It is kind of expensive too.

Whoa, that's one big mistake if he claimed he used Clarityne because that doesn't have any steroids or cocaine in it!!

Hmm... am I the only one that recalls traces of cocaine as the reason for the ban?

    So that's a myth?

I really can't remember where I read that. I have to investigate...

Read in Asiaweek that it was an anabolic steroid, but it didn't say which one.
