    how cool is this?

i got a quite a few broken strings from clients lately and thought it would be cool to show them hugely magnified. i will post more as i get more shots of different strings.

    BG80 - broken naturally.

yes! it is interesting that BG80's core has clear/transparent fibers, and rather thick ones. i want to see what other microfilament strings has. oh.. i have a broken microlengend in the trash can. will dig it out.

I doubt we'll see much variety in badminton strings - IME they're all what's known as "multifilament", i.e. they have no central "core". Still, I wouldn't say "no" to a few more of these; the BG80 one is awesome.

Macros of tennis string would show at least four different types:).

Doubt we'll be able to see the Ti, apart from a few sparkles in the coating layer, think we'll need a microscope for that :p

wait a minute... so the dye goes right thru to the core?

and this begs the question: do the different colours of zm62 play the same?

and if not, which one is best? :)
