    hey guys
i wanna know why "MP90"(not 99) is expensive compare to MP99?

In Japan, they sell MP90 like $265CD+tax.. but in Yo's sport(toronto), MP99 is $235CD(tax included). Both prices are racket+strung.

Is any different between MP90 and MP99??
    ain't they the same??

I'm pretty sure it involves the region code. That's why the costs are much higher. I think that SP racquets are supposed to be the cheapest and CN/CP racquets the most expensive. People say that CN/CP racquets are much more durable and have a solid feel to it.

90 is only for JP model. The rest of the dest. code (US, CD, TW, SP, etc) all labeled with 99.

JP models are generally more expensive than the rest. There's rumor about JP is more stiff and durable than the rest (not sure aobut CN/CH). Not sure about it, since never tried anyone of them before.

    G'day,

I've personally got a MP90JP and have also used MP99SP, MP99TW, MP99AS and MP99TH since this range was first released.

So far I found the MP90JP being the best of the bunch, closely followed by MP99AS, both feels as solid as each other with MP90 slightly more "whippier".

MP99TW, for some reason, felt much more head heavier than all others whilst MP99TH felt most flimsy of the lot.

The MP99SP was kind of in between AS and TH. Not bad but definately feels different from MP90JP/MP99AS.

Don't ask me why they are all different, also upon very close inspection the finish of MP99TW/TH is also slightly different from MP90/99AS/99SP.

Every YonexTW racquet I ever owned broke
Yo's seems to price their merchandise on the fly based mainly on your race and/or gender.

I had 2 MP99's from Taiwan.. I broke them both within 2 weeks.
I'm sure both the CDN and JP versions are good, but you should ask Tammy I beleive she went out of her way to get JP's instead of CDNS.

You mean he gives lower prices to women (or men)? I'd need to know to send in the right person to negotiate my next purchase :)

How did you break them? I'm sorry to hear that.

I don't feel any difference between MP-90 JP and MP-99 CD (both 3U G5). Maybe because I did not use them much. I'm going back to my much more durable 2U racquets (CAB 21, ISO 750).

I did sell my MP-99 :) I keep the MP-90 since it was (unofficially) a gift. If I sold it, I may never receive another gift racquet :)

Do you have the address of the website? It's 235.00 + Shipping + 5.00 COD charge at leesbadminton.com! That would be a steal for 170.00 but I'm still questioned about its durability regardless of the region code...

Actually it's 226.675 CAD from British Pounds to Canadian Dollars.

Average price if you're in the UK but shipping to North America would really up the price.

Did you remember to take of 17.5% because of the VAT? Shipping to Canada is $30.

    Hi Guys,

I have 3 MP90JPs and I have broke one a few weeks ago. Strangely though, all three rackets felt differently, meaning, the one I broke seems lighter than the ones not broken. They are all 2UG4 bought in the same shop in japan.

I have the chance to correspond with a Sales manager of Yonex Japan and he told me that MP90 is for Japan domestic market and MP99 is for the international market and there is ABSOLUTELY no difference (quality, standard, etc. ) in these rackets, only the model no. is different.
