Hello, We are from Canada and in August 2011, our family of 4 will be leaving on a trip around the world. We are a family who is passionate about badminton and are quite competitive on different tournament circuits. We plan on experiencing competitive badminton abroad and would be interested in playing with people in different clubs and participating in different tournaments. We enjoy meeting people with different backgrounds and learning about their styles, customs and traditions; we are looking forward to joining the international badminton community. Our daughter, who is presently one of the top juniors in the country and our son, who is one of the top provincially, are interested in improving their game and in remaining competitive over the year we will be travelling. Our itinerary will be: August to November 2011: South America December 2011: Australia January to March 2012: Asia April and May 2012: Eastern Europe June 2012: Africa July 2012: Europe Could you please send us the following information on your badminton club and / or tournaments? 1. Lots of luck sorting all this out, sounds very exciting. Unfortunately you've not picked the best times to come to Europe (east or west). Most events are mid August to Christmas. Expect the Dutch & German Juniors (top level U19s) which are in the March. September 2011 is the Youth commonwealth games in the Isle of Mann (UK) Will you're daugther be told for that ? need to be 1993 or younger?
Hi, Thanks a lot for the information. We will finish our trip in UK for the Olympics games in London in august 2012. We want to go and see the badminton competition. So, our daughter (she was born in 1994), will not be able to participate in the Youth Commonwealth games, we will be in south America. But, we will try to play in one tournament in Europe for sure.
