I have rackets that I am unlikely to ever use & just buy because collecting. I am different from most apparently however that I don't buy them new & never string them (Don't see the point) I like to see there battle scars & feel the strings to swing the racket about.
With Cab20 - I assume you mean the orig? what colour ones you have?
Arc10PG? maybe later, is it so great now?

I think these few are being forgotten because of the rarity:
AT700 Super Brands Limited SP (although somehow collectors actually rumored about the inferiority of the SP code and it can still be found in HK....)
MP90 [Orange]
Boron [series] (used to have two of Boron 200 but traded them for a pair of MP100 SP/IP which are at least playable
)

These are the racquets that I put aside and don't use because there's probably some value to it in the future.
1) Ti10 1st Gen TH
2) MP100 2U SP
3) 2 x TC700 2nd Gen (I have one which I am using and these are spare. I know there are TC700 fans out there so these might have some value in the future !)
4) AT700 Limited SP
5) Cab 30 SP
6) Arc 100 (unstrung)
7) AT900PLC (unstrung)
8) Arc10PG (unstrung)
9) Gosen Boonsak 6900
10) Li Ning N90 1st edition
11) Cab 35 JP

May I tread on a different note. Recently, finally sold all my ''other racquets'', RSL X2, Sotx WOVEN 16, TC700 Gen1, Cab 20 IP Lavender, At700 original, MP 99, MP100 all with reasonable mark ups if not substantial. Arc ZS will go rather soon. So I am left with 2 Victor SiW 35 (which though very good), I can't visualize it being a collectors item from today's perspective. The ArcZS (Original laser yellow JP) though, I thought from my heart would be a collectors item though (just my thought) in time!
I don't know but I just thought somehow I shouldn't really get attached to things but more frankly since all of em have been strung and played with at least once or twice...I feel the burden of keeping em scotch free although can't hold back to take them out for a swing and smash session(s) one time or another!
Verdict, I sold them all for peace of mind that I may get zero from them instead if I broke em!
Poor me! What more can I say...I collected and collected and gosh I don't wanna...ugh.Last edited by RSLvictorSOTX; 10-19-2010 at 11:40 AM.

Someone likes 1st gen ti10's....
For the ones I collect I like to have two - one to use if you want & one as backup in case that one breaks...

this brings up an interesting question:
what are everyone's purpose for collecting rackets?
i collect them because i know they will be rare and i enjoy owning rare and classic racket. i know some may fetch a hefty price years from now (just look at the sky high prices for AT700 and Ti10 1st gen) but personally that not my reason. even if i have 10 brand new 1st gen AT700 with me today that will hardly pay for a family trip, and for sure won't let me retire. i need a Renoir or something for that to happen. because i am such a badminton lover, i enjoy being able to own a rarity or a piece of badminton history.
i guess it is a little bit of a bragging rights too. imagine if i have a brand new Boron2? and with that, the ability to share with everyone my collection in 10, 20 yrs time.
