i'm new to badminton and i bought a racket and i d'ont really like the grip. So i bought some wilson perferated overgrip and i dont know how to apply it. should i just take the grip off to rthe wood or put it over the grip hence the term overgrip?

there are two types of grips.
overgrip - this type you apply "over" the original grip
replacement grip - this type is usually thicker and you take off the original grip and apply the new one.
what you do depends on what you have.

It also depends whether or not you like the grip thick or thin...which would also depend on the size of your hand.

Its also a process of 'trial and error' just to get the technique or wrapping a grip right.
I personally went through a couple of grips myself, before i could get it just the way i wanted it.
