B12 Grommet Replacement

How do you change the B12 grommet (the last main and + 4/5th cross)

Its flanged on both ends.

you cut both sides and use a toothpick to push the middle part out.

sorry about that, maybe you didnt read the first post, the grommet is flanged on both ends.

so I am asking now, poilitely how do you get it in?

I can find the ugly flare-it tool for tennis only.

I took a M6 screw and cut off the head and grinded the taper shape and it is doing a perfect job. The grommet pliers I picked it up from my company's scrap bin.

Browsed the tennis forum and found the solution. It is called dowel drill center. Price for 8 piece set is 4 USD :-). I think for badminton grommets I wil not need a pliers - will use my own fingers.

This is the exact tool I have, now take a M5, M6, 3/16" or 1/4" 3/4" or 20mm long bolt, grind the head off with a dremel and countersunk it, insert it into one of the metal tube and clamp it tight with a pair of plier so that it is secure in place and you are good to go. When you are clamping the grommet make sure you use one hand to hold the tool in position and clamp with the other hand, I slipped a couple of time by using one hand and it scratched the frame, my 2 pennies.

have you tried it ?

I did tried many ways, including using soldering iron, but not successful, most likely because the temperature of soldering is high, so it made the grommet broken due to heat.
In the end, I purchased Flare-it from ATS Sports, and now I'm happy with Flare-it.
