Singles: Tuesday 8pm-10pm Cheras/Sri Petaling
I am organizing a new group to play singles on every Tuesday 8pm-10pm at Cheras or Sri Petaling area. For first time the court is already booked and if you are interested, please come.

Date/Time : 2 Nov Tuesday 8pm-10pm
Venue : DBKL Tasik Selatan
Court : C
Charge: Court + shuttles shared among players
Level : Beginner-Above Average Welcome

I think 5 ppl is "ngam ngam hou". That day actually we didn't have enough also, everybody could play 1-2 more games.

Good for u KY, now have more than enough interested kakis already. It would be better if you would book another court to accommodate those who are interested. That would be more fun...

That would be possible only if we can confirm the number of kakis playing in each session 3 to 4 weeks in advance. We are playing on DBKL courts to keep the costs down i.e. court costs are only RM16/- for a 2-hr session at BTR and BTS, and RM25/- for a 2.5 hr session at Stadium Badminton KL. The downside is that we need to book the courts 3 weeks in advance. While we can probably absorb the costs for a single court if people don't turn up, for two courts will really be a waste of money.

Thanks uncle OBF, I thought about it too, but can't figure out a feasible way yet.

Another way to make this possible is collecting advance payments from players for being members. But this will make things more complicated and may not be well handled by an inexperienced organizer like me :P

I believe there are quite a number of lurkers here want to play singles. Maybe somebody can form a new group on another weekday and I'll be happy to join. Uncle OBF, wanna do the job? I can play on Mon, Thu and Fri

I concur and understand that booking DBKL courts isn't a simple task too.

Having played the game with different groups for umpteen years and been an organizer on a number of occasions, I do understand your predicament. Although the member fee incurred may not bore a big hole in the wallet, when it comes to payment there's always complication for certain individuals

.

Being a sincere and committed guy, I really don't mind paying in advance but, to be an organizer again; it's definitely a no no for me. If any of you guys could manage a group (on a suitable day and time; Mon and or Fri evening would be fine) and needs a "no problem kaki", count me in.

The map is wrong. You can't make a right turn and get to the kompleks sukan. You need to drive a bit further and make a u-turn, then turn left.

The map is wrong. You can't make a right turn and get to the kompleks sukan. You need to drive a bit further and make a u-turn, then turn left.
