My racket wrapped with an Ultimate Grip starts to smell bad because I sweat a lot. What can I use to get rid of that smell? I tried applying Alcohol but it did not do good.

In the future, what should be done to prevent that?

Thanks for the link, I'll be reading that.

Well, the Ultimate Grip should've solved my sweat problem and it did for the first two months of playing. It started to feel slippery again just last week. Using overgrips will defeat the purpose of using a super-tacky replacement grip right?

Well if you like using a replacement grip on barewood then it's fine, I just don't like having the same grip for more then a month. I'm waiting for my RKEP Elite overgrips to arrive which are suppose to be the same feel as the ultimate grip but in a overgrip form.

Two months is a long time. If you're in such a humid environment and sweat that much, you should change your grip weekly. You don't necessarily have to throw away the grip, just remove it and let it air dry and use it the next week.

Oh ok. Can you give me a heads up on which of them has the same feeling as the Ultimate Grip so that I can also use them for my next change of grip?

Can you always re-wrap the grip when removed?

    Ok Panda :)

To remove the odor, just simply remove the grip and let it air dry? No need to apply any solution, like diluted alcohol, and let it dry under the sun or something to get rid of those bacteria?

If you have time, remove the grip after each time you are done playing and let the grip air dry at room temperature.

Use another grip and once done playing remove and air dry.

Rotate among 3 - 5 grips (whatever you feel is right) so in one month you would only use each grip 2-3 times.

But for my case now, it already has that smell, would air drying it at room temperature remove the smell?

Sir, please use common sense. If it smells that bad, just throw the grip away. There's no definitive rule.

Yes, it is the RKEP Ultimate Grip. You can buy one from www.authenticbadminton.com which is the official distributor of RKEP products here in the Philippines. Hope that helps.
