Very nice chart. Although i really wonder if the difference between say a 8 to 10 , is the same as 6 to 8.
Another thing that isn't included in the yonex rating is tension loss over time which i think makes a pretty big difference in choice of strings.
But anyway thanks for compiling this chart.

very difficult/impossible to calculate loss of tension over time, I asked the same question when I first started stringing a few years ago, am surprised the manufacturers don't supply the information for stringers.

I have a packet of bg66 Maxima bought recently, the durability is 6 not 7 . not sure if it has been changed since the release.

While most of the specs look right, I wonder if there are some inherent biases built into this...personally, I think bg80 should be ranked higher...but I guess personal preferences subside within me

Hi,
I just bought Apacs Feather Light 200 strung with BG66 at 25lbs. The racket is very light and easy to control but lack of power to clear shot from rear court. What the best string for the racket and should I lower the string tension? Below is the racket specs.
APACS Feather Weight 200 Specifications :
Frame Meterial: Hi Modulus Graphite + High Speed Frame + CNT
Shaft Material: Hi Modulus Graphite + CNT
Flex: Medium
Weight: 69 +/- 1g (7U-G2)
Length: 670mm
Max Tension: 30lbs
Balance: 285 +/- 3mm

I have added in the rating "Resilience" to describe the feel of shuttle impact on the string bed which can range from soft to stiff from the stretchability of the string. I have also revised the "Feel" rating to describe the impact feedback as blunt or sharp due to the various coating or thickness of the string.
Finally the overall formula has been revised to include more factors (and at least BG80 is no longer ranked at the bottom now).
Another thing to note is that the most recent durability ratings of BG65 and BG65 Power have both increased to a solid "10", as according to the new Yonex 2011 Catalogue.
