hello all, I need some expert advice from some expert that exist in this BF.:D I had a AT900P recently and stringed with BG66 Ultimax. I was playing on that night and I had three mishits in ten strokes and it just snapped. So I thought "It must be this ultra-thin string." So I went back and re-string it again with BG68TI. Lucky me, in five stroke with one mishit, it broke again.:crying::confused: Any string recommendation for At900P? Does anybody had that kind of a problem? It seems like I'm throwing money away.:crying: By the way, I had it stringed at Yo's both times. Does everyone string the same way or is it some places string better and the other? Please help. Much appreciated...

Have your grommets check by your stringer next time, a ripped grommet might be the culprit.

did it broke in the same place?

mishit nearly the frame where there are no supporting main/cross thread is a common cause for breakage. even properly strung rackets with new grommet cannot avoid it.

    just don't mishit.

Just my luck I guess. The at is brand new by the way. Two strings broke on the same day that I bought it. Lucky me:(. I'm also thinking about getting bg85 on it. Maybe it gonna last more even with Mishits? O and it did broke in the same place. Two in the Upper right corner.

BG-85 isn't as durable as bg-68ti tho. BG-80 would be a better choice.

In terms of BG-85 vs BG-80 both are kinda even in performence with bg-80 slightly better in durability then 85 but 85 is slightly better performing. I actually like both strings but since our poster had some mishits problem with previous strings bg-80 would be better then 85.

Anyways mishitting is always gonna break the string sooner anyways.

Its mis-hits. My strings snap ALOT because of mishits. I had strung mine with NBG95s 24x26 pounds, and it lasted me about 3 months. I had restrung it today using NBG95 on the mains and BG80s on the crosses. This is the first time I am mixing strings. So I am hoping this will perform well. I had the BG80s snap on me in 1 hour before... right on the first main. Sadly, its the mishits that are gonna kill the strings.

Hey all, I just got NBG 98 on my AT900P. Gonna try it out tonight. Hopfully it won't break again from mishit.

If the strings snap again, try using BG 65s on the main, and the 98s on the crosses

Miss-hit is the main reason! No matter what tension and thickness of the string you strung the racket.
