I heard some INA players will go there : MS: Riyanto, Gifar WS: Yenny, Febby MD: Jones-Dandi No INA National Team players are going.
I hope Djarum will send Ririn/Melati and Praveen/RAngga ,, they really prospect for AJC and WJC next year and improving their ranking
Sigh.... When will PBSI learn????? This is a good opportunity for Pratama players to get valuable ranking pts.
PBSI will send the players, mostly Pratama beside Shendy/Devin to India Open. Also PBSI is obligated to send players for Pertamina Open.
I know that they will be sending the Pratama players to Pertamina Open. As for India, I hope they do participate in both the India Open & IC; which are held back-to-back.
For sure, been told that Shendy/Devin will have one tournament as they have few tournaments ahead in January..Told them but more likely it will be one..Djarum is planning to send the players in both tournaments..
So,which pair will be focused for OG 2012? Tontowi/Lilyana,Frans/Pia,Rijal/Deby or Shendy/Devin ? Too many good stock in XD.
I recommend Hendra Setiawan-Vita Marissa instead... Kido is not fit enough! Consequence: drop Hendra-Anastasia...
Goh Soon Huat, Mohd Arif Abdul Latif and Iskandar are in the fray. Main opposition for them will be Hsu Jen Hao from Chinese Taipei. Surprised that GSH is the top seed instead of Arif.
Kaohsiung is Taiwan's Surabaya [INA's second largest city, located quite a distance away from Jakarta, almost on the other side of Java island]...
I'm beginning to think the generals' mindset is that players are like soldiers... they need to be trained trained trained in the barracks but never need to get field experience unless there is a war/national insterest... but this is SPORTS, guys! If they are not sent to get experience, by the time Olympic Games arrives, they will all be novices, not veterans...
For example: Angga/Rian might just win this tourney for their first international title. Also, Ulin/Berry got sent to only 2 international tourneys this year since joining Pratama. The other 3 tourneys are all held in INA, with some Sirnas thrown in. Sigh.....
