Thailand did it once when they manage to beat MAS in the recent AG10 team event.

I guess they can did it again in future.

Congrats to thailand badminton team. Keep it on.

As well as MAS, keep the coach, the elite-backup, the old-horses, the magnificent management and the system.

If the answer is none, then it could be said that the sacking of coaches/players is not a solution to improve Badminton for a nation.

Maybe you can tell us the history of Thailand badminton team and how they arrived at such level, as same as MAS.

It also sounds like you want to include the players in the "sack." Who exactly did you have in mind to fill that void as well? Like it or not, most of the present players made their way to where they are through a process of elimination, and most of them could well be the best you have to work with at the moment! Also, you interview a player, and you will mostly get what they think is the correct and politically acceptable thing to say. They are not going to really speak their minds!

I won't pretend that there is no justification in your criticism; there must be, because a lot of people feel that "something is rotten" at BAM. But to simply criticize or suggest extreme measures is to fall into the trap of doing exactly the thing that will only make it worse. "Sacking" coaches and players is IMO very like shooting the messenger for the message. Like "a friend" said in the movie "Disclosure," the coaches and players "are not the problem. Fix the problem."

Lastly, if you can petition BAM to do something constructive and corrective, why not do just that: set up a petition? It could actually be constructive because it will create some pressure at the top. At least, I would hope so!

Again, this is just my 2 cents. But what do I know???
yes, you know something and the right petition can do some wonders

but must be in the right place and the right time.

the thread starter obviously loves baddy and probably he is lost by now.

he was looking for answers why malaysia badminton is lagging behind,

to him they should win being at the very top means winning all majors,

i see this as nothing wrong as my views would be the same

but when i see it at another angle,

i see this as not our failure, simply, others improved more than us.

time has changed so better buckle up

its gonna be a hard ride!

I hope LCW can be more focus next time, rather than attend all the super series, just focus on new major titles such as world championship, all england. Well, Misbun so far did a good job. But Malaysia need to attract more famous trainer such as LiMao. See what Korea can achieve in Uber cup after hiring LiMao. Now heard that he is leaving to Indonesia, How I wish he can come back to Malaysia again to train our players...

Another famous defeat for Malaysia's badminton Squad. This time, to our neighbour, Thailand.

Lets see what Misbun Sidek told the reporter

''Earlier, I thought Chong Wei will win easily against Boonsak while MoHD. Hafiz would lose.''

"Chong Wei was down with fever and he felt giddy before the tie. He could not play his game today. We did not expect the team to lose at this stage.''

What is he talking about? Misbun Bin Sidek or Misbun A/L karrupiah?

Is it too hard for Misbun to admit that Boonsak is in better form rather than finding excuses for DLCW's defeat? Every defeat sure got excuse.

Misbun confident against DLCW, but Dato lost.

Misbun worried about HH, but HH win.

Misbun put a joker as 3rd singles. (I cannot blame him for this, because he had no choice. The 3rd singles are a bunch of jokers)

It's time for Sidek's brother to leave BAM.

I dont want to see Mas badminton lose to team like Myanmar, Philipines, Cote D'Ivory, Rwanda, Senegal in future.
    Misbun Sidek could have read this thread; he resigned on 31-Dec-2010;

Correct. Why not resign when work performed wasn't appreciated.

just take a look at sepak takraw mas just kept on going downhill or stuck at a point while thailand and vietnam have taken over - heck even china is climbing up. is badminton in mas following the same route? I think bam should look at the squash team and now our football team and see why they shine.
