This is not a theory limsy, its a fact. The fact is, what are the benefit for raising the past issue between li Mao and rashid in referring to Malaysia defeat to Thailand while, it is more logical to discuss the recent scenario in hand and how to solve it.
Indeed after the demoralizing defeat to Thailand a few days ago, a lot of people get frustrated and demands explanation and every soul from the BAM leadership to the coaching setup to the players themselves must carry that burden. Whatever rashid influences in regards to Li Mao departure in the past, has nothing to do with what happen a few days ago.

THe 'England lad' is actually a Msian
No, compare MS back up to MD back up the last 6 to 7 years. Rashid had TCS & gang for about 3 years in Project 2010. Nothing much came out of it.
Compare to MD,WD, XD, since Rexy came in 2005(not forgetting CSK's contributions), what have he & the doubles coaches done to develop the youngsters. Msian MD would not have so many pairs waiting in line if the doubles coaches did not develop them.....is sufficiently the correct term to use?
My concern is what would happen to the next talented batch, next best bet to replace LCW - Iskandar, Syawal, Misbun Ramdan, Loh WS, ZUlfadli. For the time being, I'm actually glad they are under Hendrawan.Last edited by eaglehelang; 11-16-2010 at 07:50 AM.

Malaysia is glad to have such supporters. Else, they will be complacent. Some how, all these criticism will go all the way up. This means an average person can see the problem and yet some are ignorant. That tells the story about how things are managed. Its good to keep on barking to wake them up.
I bet some in BAM are tempted to answer the criticisms, its just that they don't have the guts to do so. Mali mali... jangan malu malu BAM..
Be open an explain the situation. It helps to have transparency. The world is getting smaller now.
If you don't do something proactively, I bet someone will make you proactive to push you out the door.
BAM boleh?
Don't waste tax payers money. This goes to other countries as well.

I have said long ago that MAS badminton will be in big trouble with no emerging players to take over from LCW and TBH/KKK. LCW credit should go to Morten, and TBH/KKK I think is Rexy who paired them up.
In pro badminton, winning is the only thing that matters since MAS (tax-payers) is heavily funding this sport. If Rashid did not produce result (after 3 years? that is a life time to invest for a pro baddy player), fire him, I agree and more so to fire them the entire BAM management too for hiring the coaches in the first place. Except that it is no going to happen, it is easy to fire the coaches and/or players as scape goats than to fire themselves for under performing in their job. The coaches and players are professionals, their success can be measured by achievements while the BAM staff are not. They are government employees, no accountability, golden rice bowl job entitlement and so well connected.
Much has been criticized of LYB, but results support him and he delivers the goods almost all the time. On a side note, I noticed the big sag at Zhang Ling eyes (she must not slept well). Both ZN and LYB look tense in the women team event against Thai, she must have grew a few grey hairs when WX lost the first set. Rashid appears to be 'tidak apa' like win-loss no big deal, life goes on. The tougher the teacher, the stronger are the students, that is the culture gap between CHN and MAS.

i think we should keep misbun, rashid and in fact to hire jalani...having them to inspire the young players and give motivation talks to players who lack of passion to the country...share experience from thomas cup on how they win n lost their games in past...
For BAM presiden..hire siti hasmah and husband as advisor
For coach here is my proposal...
Man
singles hire..... zhao jian hua, park joo bong
doubles hire.... cheah soon kit, rudy gunawan
Women
singles hire..... susi susanti, ye zhoaying
doubles hire.... tan kim her , Goa Ling
Mixed double hire .....park joo bong

A good wish list. There are some good coaches out there. Just rehire all the former coaches. That should do the trick.

Nice line up. However, Malaysia biggest badminton fan, Siti Hasmah, can't be the advisor since the patron for BAM council will always be the wife of the current Malaysia Prime Minister. Nevertheless, let us use more local resource first:
BAM council President and Executive Commitee Chairman : Datuk Nadzmi - FIRE. Let him just concentrate more with Proton or otherwise we will end up in near future with immitation products like Proton skyline, Proton evo or Ferrari saga or maybe Exora Alphard X5
Replacement: Maybe...Datuk Punch Gunalan or Datuk Eddy Chong.
BAM GM : Kenny Goh - FIRE.
Replacement : Take Datuk James Selvaraj from his current post as Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) High Performance Director. Better put someone who knows well about badminton here rather than kenny.
BAM Coaching and Training Committee:
New High Performance Director : Li Mao
Mens Single elite: Misbun take over from Rashid.
Womens Single elite: Replace Wong Tat Meng with Susi Susanti. Let Rashid be an assistant
.
Mens Double Elite: Retain Rexy
Womens Double Elite: Rexy. Pang Cheh Chang assist
Mens Single back-up: Retain Hendrawan. Lure Foo Kok Keong to assist
Mens Double Backup: Retain Tan Kim her.
