Ashaway zymax 70 or yonex nanogy 98? Or any strings you guys would suggest?
Whats better? The ashaway zymax 70 or the yonex nanogy 98 string? And what maximum tension can both these strings withstand? I am thinking of restringing the Wilson recon blx with one of these strings which would be best and what string tension can the Wilson recon blx withstand?
Or if anything any other strings you guys would suggest?

"Better" is very subjective, furthermore you are comparing NBG98 with ZM70, these strings are completly different in tens of diameter one being 0.66mm & the other 0.70.
BG80 is always a great choice.

BG-80 is always a good starting choice, however I'm starting to like my Zymax 62 but durability is an issue if you mishit alot. Doesn't wilson put the maximum string tension on the racket?

I would suggest for a new player like you to try out different type of strings and tension whenever the opportunity arises. This way, not only you will have first hand experience of how various string strung at different tension would perform but also you would be giving out advises later instead of being at the receiving end.

I've used both... for the price the ZM70. NGB98 lasts longer, but it costs more than 2x the ZM70.
The ZM also bites the shuttle better.

NGB98 last longer then ZM70
Now that's kinda hard to believe.

Z70 and NBG98 are chalk and cheese - Z70 is a thick "durability" string that (IMO, anyway) has to be pulled very tight to be useful. I've used it past 32 lbs and couldn't break it even with plastic shuttles. NBG98 is a 0.66 horsehair that can hit through the floor even at low tension. I used it at 28, but it didn't last long.
If you want easy power, go for NBG98 and put it in loose; if you want something that you wouldn't break even if you hit a squash ball, go for Z70.
These two strings are somewhat "extreme", though, so why not look at NBG95 or BG80 as well.

Lovely to hear when you've just strung NBG98 at 30lbs . And even at 30lbs the shared grommets were tight on the Tetracross 700 ... (should be alright though, so far so good)

NGB98 was at 24/26 lbs. ZM70 was at 26/28 so that is be the case.
Currently I'm using Zm67 so I'll report back on that (27/29 lbs on Panda Power Precision. 3 weeks so far).
