I've played various rackets, mostly Yonex & Gosen.
The history of my rackets is as below:
    MP100 3u / AT700(old) 3u /NS8000(old)2u / NS9000(S&X) 2U / AT800DE 3u/ AT900 (P&T) 3U
    NS9900 2U / ARC 10 2U / ARC 9 3U / ARC ZS 2u / ARC 8DX 3U / VTZF88 3U / VTZFLTD 4U

    Comparing 8DX & ARC ZS
I would say 8DX is a total winner.
The only advantage of ARC ZS is easier to extract power due to softer shaft.
With right technique & explosive wrist power, the 8DX can be more powerful than ZS.
(common for extra stiff rackets )
In term of defensive & control plays the narrower frame of ARC ZS induces more mishits.

ARC8DX is the most satisfactory racket I've owned so far.
This racket is a perfect combination of Power Speed & Control.

personally, I would still go with the Z-slash or the 11 over the 8DX, defense on the 11 and the z-slash is so quick and easy, and smashes are very powerful, although I will admit, that the 11 is a little lacking in the power department.

If you are looking for an all rounder racket, 8DX is a better racket than ZS because it is decent in defence and yet powerful enough. If you are willing to sacrifice on defence, go for ZS or VT80. in my opinion, they are more powerful.

There is no perfect racket out there that gives you the most power, best defence and perfect control. You got to choose for yourself which department you prefer the racket to excel in.
