YONEX ArcSaber 8-DX. My Tension: 23 lbs. My Grip: Yonex Super Grap My String: Yonex BG 65 Pros: This racket is very light weight, it is good for many all around players who are looking for a higher level of control with some power. This racket is very good for smashes, the new technology ULTRA PEF, Ultra Poly Ethylene Fiber" has stickness and high shock absorption, it is also extremely light, and the 1 inch across is able to hang up about 20 tons. The telling shot which is requested by advanced-level players and the high repulsion by stretching and recovering its shape are achieved. I love this racket!! It is very good for offensive playing, it has lots of power, control and precision. This is a very lightweight racket, the colors are very atheistically pleasing. This is probably one of the best in the Arc Saber series, with its reasonable price and great performance. The nice one-piece frame is also very aerodynamic and the Arcsaber 8-DX is a great overall racket! Cons: There are not that many bad things about this racket, but the only comment I have about this racket is the price being a little too high.
I don't know, this racket was a gift from my uncle who lives in the US, I got the Z-Slash seperately here in Canada.
I think that the store probably recommended the tension and provided free strings for this racket when my uncle got it for me.
Haha. Now that's a good point to bring up. Maybe restrung it at your old tension and do another review. Maybe some unexpected surprises for good or worse.
Okay, yes that's probably why it's not too high ... As for the weight: 3U = 3U, it might feel lighter because it's more balanced but it weighs the same as an AT700 (or at least my 3U AT700) You know, someone once suggested a review template perhaps it will be usefull to you (let me see if I can dig it up) for future occasions or a re-review at your normal tension and such ... Wanted to ask though what this is: "and the 1 inch across is able to hang up about 20 tons"?
Here is the thread: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...ate.&p=1434482&highlight=template#post1434482
It looks to be alluding to tensile strength or some other engineering property. I liked the next sentence at least as much:
YES the 8DX is an excellent all around racket. It feels the same/v. similar to the venerable AS 11! It feels really good. Like an extension of ur hand. A touch slower than and not as telepathic as AS11 but close enuf. Good luck finding one at least in N. America where I am! I lost mine - my bad.
