First of all big applause to PB Djarum for their consistency and dedication to INA badminton.. Lets discuss PB Djarum shuttlers and their progress here. In Final INA national championship(junior) tomorrow. Djarum will represent by: -Yeni Asmarani(GS) -All Djarum final in BS : Shesar vs Arief. -Jansen Jones/Nurbeta(XD) -Dandi Prabudita/Jansen Jones Djarum also cruise to team event final(senior) and will meet another big club from INA, Tangkas.
Congrates Dandi/Jones for retaining their Kejurnas Title... 3 titles for Djarum: -Jansen/Dandi -Jansen/Nurbeta -Shesar
I heard the Djarum club players refer Shesar as Vito... Vito, together with Riyanto and Gifar, will be INA's most competitive weapons in getting something at the Asian Junior and World Junior Championships next year... These trio have been ranked the best three U-19 BS in INA for the past 2 years... Coach Fang Kaixiang's last pupils. He is retired now... living in Guangzhou. I think Fung Permadi are coaching these trio personally now...
Bandar Sigit Pamungkas I believe is a Djarum clubs member, or at least he had that on his shirt. He got to the QF of the Scottish International. but he was the victim of mind games in his match with Ville Lang.

Apart from becoming the only Indonesian women’s singles in the semifinals, Ana also succeeded in advancing to the semifinals from the qualifiers. Ana further toppled a number of big names starting from Tvrdy Maja, Fu Mingtian and even Maria Kristin whom she succeeded in overcoming. Her adventures ended at the hands of Sayaka Sato in the semifinals but she nonetheless played brilliantly throughout the DIOSS, giving her best performance ever. Especially as Ana was not a seeded player, and the DIOSS was her debut at a Super Series-level championship. Her advance to the semifinals will raise her BWF ranking. PB Djarum had the opportunity to conduct an exclusive interview with the DIOSS 2010 black horse, Ana Rovita. The following is an excerpt of PB Djarum’s interview with Ana Rovita. PB Djarum: Hi Ana, how are you? Ana: Fine. PB Djarum: How does it feel to play in a Super Series event? Ana: Happy because this is increasing my competition level, especially as this is my first Super Series. PB Djarum: Did you undergo special preparation? Ana: No, because I was only told that I would compete on Sunday (6/21). So there were no special preparations, I was informed that I would go, and that afternoon I immediately departed for Jakarta. PB Djarum: Actually, what was your target for the DIOSS? Ana: My initial target was actually just to pass the qualifying rounds and play in the main draw, and it turned that instead I was able to advance to the semifinals, of course I was happy, I far exceeded my target and even my trainer’s target. PB Djarum: How does it feel to able to play until the semifinals? Ana: It’s hard to express, what’s obvious is that I’m happy and this has motivated me to continue to achieve. PB Djarum: What were your impressions, playing in a Sports Hall as big as Istora? Ana: This was my first big tournament, and it was also my first time playing in front of so many people, it was really exciting, energizing and motivating me to compete. PB Djarum: Before your present state, how did you begin your career? Ana: I used to join my older sibling playing badminton. Because my older sibling used to be at Djarum, eventually in 2004 I joined PB Djarum, and perhaps my younger sibling will follow in our footsteps to become a badminton athlete. PB Djarum: Seeing this, were you born into an athletic family? Ana: No, in my family my older sibling, younger sibling and I were the first to want to become athletes. Papa was not an athlete, but he wanted his kids to become athletes. None of our other family members entered the world of sports. PB Djarum: What are your targets after this Super Series? Ana: It is highly likely that I will play in the Singapore International Satellite next month, hopefully I can play and do my best. PB Djarum: Throughout the DIOSS just now, which match was most memorable for you? Ana: Competing against Mbak Sel [Maria Kristin’s familiar moniker] as I had never trained with her, and then I was able to compete and win that match. I will not forget that. PB Djarum: When you had a 14-4 lead against Sayaka Sato, how come you suddenly lost many points? Were you tense? Ana: Maybe because I wanted to hastily finish off the competition and kill the ball, but it boomeranged on me instead and finished me off. PB Djarum: By participating in an event as big as the DIOSS, what lessons did you learn? Ana: I have to train harder and improve my weaknesses, and my advance to the semifinals proves that I can. PB Djarum: By advancing to the semifinals, you’ll receive a cash prize, what do you think you’ll do with that money? Ana: I don’t know yet, maybe I’ll just save it. PB Djarum: Ok, thank you Ana, good luck in your next competitions.
