Looking back the good old days when we first time stepped into the circuit... Perhaps you forgot to bring your proper badminton attires... Maybe your office wear, people may suprise a NERD can play... It paid back to those who laughed at us, it may be uncomfortable... But skill does matter...
My funniest attires are: when i was young i wear slippers (i can't afford any shoes then), i even wear jeans, casual short, singlet and cartoony t-shirt Nowadays, i'm thinking to make a suprise at any badminton hall wearing my office wear, tuck in my shirt, long sleeves, brush my hair to the back with plenty of gel, wear glasses, shiny shoes and cheapo racket. A nerd beat a decent look player.... It'd be a funny yet suprise package!
make sure u have a decent pair of underwear on. Cannot imagine the sight of the pants 'punctured' when you lunge
One day, I was in a rush and forgot my clothes. So I was in my skinny jeans, long sleeves and a pair of converse. I got really weird looks.
most common here, we wear soccer jersey to play imagine, Rooney, Zidane, Beckham playing badminton... yeah...slamdunk, Sakuragi also...
I had arranged a badminton game for this past Sunday right after church. The gym is just a block away. I had worked all-night Saturday, so was sleepy when packing the kids and the gear in the car. Sure enough, I had packed racket and shoes but no change of clothes. No time to go home. No way to play in church attire. ( Not even stylish KKK has played in a suit and tie....yet.) Luckily the gym's tiny store had a closing out sale. Only male items left: gigantic billowing XXL shorts and a tiny skin-tight T-shirt. I don't know how it looked, but it felt ridiculous.
Played with jogging pants, running shoes and soccer jersey. Also wore yellow biker glasses (to prevent from getting hit in the eye). This was my attire when i started.
