. 2010 Perak Championships: Dec 16-19 in Ipoh From thestar, we have this article: http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/12/5/sports/7562908&sec=sports Intriguing clash on the cards when Chong Wei takes on Zulfadli PETALING JAYA: One is currently the only shining star in the men’s singles event. The other has the talent to shine. So, expect an intriguing battle when the world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei takes on youngster Zulfadli Zulkifli in the opening match of the Perak Open badminton championships in Ipoh from Dec 16-19. In the draw released yesterday, Chong Wei and Zulfadli have been given first round byes and are expected to square off in the second round. The Perak Open is an important platform for Chong Wei to confirm his place in the National Grand Prix Finals – especially after he had missed the opening leg in Kedah in July due to his busy international schedule this year. The GP Finals will be held in Kuala Terengganu from Feb 16-19. Chong Wei has been the indisputable king of the local circuit for the last eight years and surely he will not want to miss the Finals. Chong Wei has been there and done that, but the Asian Junior semi-finalist Zulfadli, still has a lot to prove – especially after joining Kuala Lumpur this year. The others in the same half with top seed Chong Wei and Zulfadli are Chan Kwong Beng, Tan Chun Seang, Mohd Arif Abdul Latif and Misbun Ramdan Misbun. Second seed Mohd Hafiz Hashim is in the lower half with Liew Daren, Chong Wei Feng and World Junior Championships runner-up Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin. Malaysia’s top doubles pair of Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong have also confirmed their participation in the local tournament but they will compete with different partners. Kien Keat will pair up with Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif while Boon Heong will combine with his world junior partner Thien How once again in Perak. Meanwhile, there has been an overwhelming response to the men’s singles event in Division Two, with 93 confirmed participation. It is hoped that a handful of new talents will be unearthed during the four-day tournament, especially in the men’s singles department. .
It's the National GP, Perak leg. All sorts of different partnerships in doubles, lol. Now I get my wish, to see how LKW will fair with TWK in MD. CEH with TBH in XD again http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=DF38D725-525D-4B22-A919-A68030B590F3
2010 Perak Championships tournamentsoftware link . Thanks eaglehelang for providing the tournamentsoftware link. I am surprised that this tournament is already at ts (so early). .
You can see my t-shirt in action . Who will be wearing your t-shirts? Send me one over here in Melbourne. .
OMG! CPS/MHC and LKW/TWK nice combinations on the cards, but I think GWS/TKS is gonna win it this time!
CPS and MHC, who will be the smasher? Or is CPS more of an all-court player and MHC will be the one smashing?
2010 Perak Championships: Day 1 (5 walkovers were given) . Yes, looking at the draw for today (Day 1), there are a total of 5 walkovers. Link: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=DF38D725-525D-4B22-A919-A68030B590F3 .
Who is Tan Aik Quan? Never really heard of him. He and Lai Pei Jing were defeated rather easily by MHC/Marlyen.
Think so... but it doesn't matter because there is only going to be 1 winner in MS... LOL! Btw, very interestingly, CPS/MHC and LKW/TWK went to rubber games. And CPS/MHC was the winner 21-15; 15-21; 21-13 Abit worried for TWK's future in MD.
2010 Perak Championships: No LiveScore . I am quite disappointed that there is no LiveScore for this 2010 Perak Championships. It's more exciting to follow the players' scores as their match is progressing. .
got ipoh hor fun there bro.. worth flying in there. pamelo, guava also good. yummy... mali mali... u ipoh boy mate? wah, is this an upset? Kuan Kam Chung - Chan Kwong Beng 21-19 12-21 21-19
Zulfadli still has a lot to learn . But they are still quite some respectable points for Zulfadli to have taken from LCW, IMHO. .
Zulfadli just finished his SPM exams, anyway, dont think any one of us think he can get many pts off LCW
Yup, I hope he gets into training full-time soon. He is one of the most important players for our campaign in the AJC and WJC next year!
