im using a 900t (stiff) and i have my strings at 25lbs, i like it but i would actually like to go with 26lbs
There is only one true answer, and that is: Whatever tension you want. Have you, perhaps, purchased a stiff racket for the first time? If so, just start with the same string and tension you liked with your last racket. That limits the new variables to which you must adjust.
As Fidget is alluding to, it depends on your hand speed. Higher tension if you're fast, lower if the high tension starts to hurt your shoulder and elbow. If you found that your tension is a tad high, you can lower it 1-2lbs by whacking the string bed against your heel (while wearing socks) hard a dozen or more times.
now i use tantrum 200 at 28 lbs, i like the shuttle control and the power of smash, but i think i can generate more power when i smash, just in searching of string tension for my racket, because my friend was powerful and the sound was "pom" but he said he just string at 24lbs, that make me confuse, and one more thing i'm not suitable with flex racket
Usually, the tension of crosses is higher . Have you tried this before? Usually, the tension of crosses is higher (like 2lbs more) than the mains. .
I think he was joking . When a racket cracks because of 'bad' tensioning, it's not a 'good' joke anymore. .
Giving incorrect info is wrong . In a forum like this, we give info for BCers who ask. Giving incorrect info (whether as a joke or not) is wrong. .
Try it at the same tension as you were using previously, then that will allow you to judge wheter or not you should increase or decrease tension. (please ignore meatball suggestion you will only end up with broken rackets)
thanks u all, for flex racket, is that good to string at high tension like 28lbs, because i think it will have no power when smashing, is that right?
giving incorrect info = bad. giving info that obviously makes no sense whatsoever = HILARIOUS! giving good and accurate info on string tension based solely on a person's racquet = impossible. of all the choices, I went with HILARIOUS!
high tension (28-30lbs) if you are a powerful smasher. (powerful == advance amateur/pro) medium high tension (25-27lbs) if you are powerful intermediate player medium (23-24lbs) tension if you are any intermediate player low tension (20-22) if you just started badminton no long ago or lacking in power.
You forgot the 30+ lbs and 18 lbs to 20 lbs range . Does that Janet is a powerful intermediate player?
I don't think using high tension is something to brag about.............................actually wait it is!!! Especially when it works!
