The Yonex Player Series are already launched! Here some pic and story about the player and Racket :

About the player :

Hidayat reached The YONEX All England Open final at the age of only 17 in 1999. He won his first title at The Indonesia Open at the age of 18 in his home town when his world class ability was recognized. His crowning glory was winning the Olympic gold medal in 2004 defeating Shon Seung Mo from Korea, and the Asian Games gold medal in 2006 defeating Lin Dan from China.

Taufik was born in Indonesia, where Badminton is a national sport. His Badminton genius lies in his ability to hit unexpected winning shots with exquisite timing. He is synonymous with the skillfully executed backhand.

About the Racket :

Taufik Hidayat's racquet is red signifying his fighting spirit. The black on the top and bottom of the frame demonstrates power, and the upper right and bottom left are coloured like a white flash.YONEX did extensive research into finding the best shade of red for the main body of the racquet, using subtle gradations and checking for colour changes under different lighting conditions.

The rich deep red that YONEX developed expresses the strength and pride of Taufik Hidayat. It also makes the design bold and eye catching.The logo on the racquet is an original design. It represents the fact that Taufik Hidayat’s spirit is in every detail of the racquet.

2. Armortec 900 Power Lee Chong Wei (AT900PL):najis

Lee was selected to be a member of the national squad when he was 17 years old.

In 2004, he won his first title, his hometown, Malaysian Open and since then, he has won the title 6 times. Later that year, he won the silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games and became the first Malaysian to reach the final of the men's singles event.

In 2010, he won his heart's desire, The YONEX All England Open title defeating Kenich Tago from Japan.

He is known for his extraordinary defensive play, combining fast reaction times with very quick movements towards attacking shots. He is admired by many junior players in the world, because his play epitomises the essence of skillful badminton.

About The Racket :

The colour identity of Lee Chong Wei is a proud yellow. While yellow is the primary colour of the racquet, the frame sides are black, and the top of the frame is white. Its look and feel hints at the fierceness of the tiger in the deep forests of Malaysia. The yellow also captures Lee Chong Wei’s feeling of pride when he plays. The top of the frame is coloured white to express the ease and lightness of his swing.Furthermore, there is an intensely beautiful blue clolour on both sides of the frame, representing tiger’s eyes."I feel positive when I play games with this racquet design" Lee Chong Wei told YONEX after seeing his racquet model. 3. Arcsaber 10 Peter Gade(Arc 10P)

Gade succeeded in doubles when he was a junior player. After switching to a singles player, he reached No.1 in the world. His fast attacks and smooth footwork constantly put pressure on opponents. He is widely recognized by his highly successful and uniquely tricky “signature shot", the deceptively deep shot deigned to confuse even the best of his opponents.

As Europe's No.1, he has won the European Championships 5 times. He is not only greatly respected by many players and fans for his play but also for his gentlemanly attitude.

About The Racket :

It is supposed to be launched in Singapore 1st Aug. If the price is the same as the regular models, then probably worth it.

Other than a new design for the racquet, I don't think it is different from the regular models that they are based on.

Oooh! I love the new Paintjob on the Z Slash! Makes me want to impulse buy it! Did any of the specs majorly change for these rackets? Or is it just a better paint job and a signature taped on it?

In Japan the listprice seems pretty much the same as the std. color versions.. They seem to sell the repainted-edition at an introductionary 20% off, so they are actually cheaper than the originals.
