2010 Hong Kong Open SS: Saina-vs-Salakjit at Round of 16

    .
This first match (Saina-vs-Salakjit) at Round of 16 could be interesting.

Salakjit has played Saina twice before, but lost both times. I believe that Salakjit can win this time.

Interesting matches to look out for :

    1) Lee Chong Wei vs Wang Zheng Miing- let's see how far Wang can stretch LCW and whether he is smart enough to learn
from LD or CJ the best way to beat a really stubborn opponent.

    2) Lin Dan vs Shon Wan Ho- We can see how well the theory of whether LD can be slowed down and frustrated and beaten by
long patient clears work, because that is exactly the dominant style of Shon.
It should put to test what a famous champion said-"the true test of a great champ is when even when he is playing at his worst
he is still able to beat his rival playing at his best."

    No HKG players???

I thought I saw Wong Wing Ki, Yip Pui Yin, Hu Yun, and the WD pair of Poon Lok Yan/Tse Ying Suet winning their matches yesterday evening???

In particular, I was impressed by Tse Ying Suet, who played extremely well in the match against the Korean pair of Ha Jung Eun/Jung Kyung Eun. The left-hander is also quite a hard-hitter as her smashes earned them several valuable points in the crucial 3rd set. The WD pair is surely on their way to the QF as they are facing the American pair of Iris and Rena Wang today.

A side-talk, media reported Lu Lan was heavily criticized by ZN after losing badly yesterday...
Appear that winning WC this few years is actually a curse to Chinese WS players, Zhu Lin, Lu Lan and this year Wang Lin...

WS department is less interesting without my cutie Wang Lin. Hope she will return to the court very soon.

Btw I'm expecting a close and hard fight between Fran/Pia vs Goh/Chan. MAS pair improvement is remarkable after they win ABC.

Not a good day for Ponsana sibling as Boonsak also stopped at R/16, lost to Park Sung-hwan, 12-21 ; 15-21.
