Have a pair of SHB 101's right now and am going to be looking for a new pair of shoes soon. Not 100% happy with them. They are fast but I find them kind of hard on my joints. Used to wears the 91s which I liked and felt had a bit more cushioning. Saw some Mizuno Wave Smash Wide's online which interested me and was wondering if anyone could compare the cushioning to Yonex that they have worn. Have never tried Mizuno before as I could previously only find the narrow fitting volleyball models nearby. thanks
After I have tried out the Wave Smash, the SHB101 sole is indeed harder. If you are keen on a softer cushion, Wave Smash might just be your cup of tea. Check out my short review here:- http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...inton-shoes-do-YOU-wear&p=1585104#post1585104
thanks. do you find the mizuno still feels stable even though the sole is softer? do you wear the same size in both?
Yes, it feels stable probably due to the wider sole. I got the Mizuno half size smaller than the SHB-101MX. Highly recommended if you have wide feet. Cushion is softer which could help in easing your joint pain.
