maybe bwf can do a little tricks like putting those big events during cbl season. That will pull them out.

say, if lcw sign up... hmmm it would be more interesting..

between may and august lin dan, taufik, chen jin in fact all china players and lcw playing in cbsl?

imagine next year tickets sale for those bwf premier and super series seasons..oopst!

If it happens, that would be nice... really nice!
Imagine so many baddy players can't make a good money for living cos not everyone can participate in SS,
and not many players can win the GPG/GP or lower events.

Badminton with clubs, i say: why not?

but not all pro players will be invited to play,

certain top 8 if i am not wrong

and that would be from bwf ranking.

so as to answer to the title of the thread,

i say no, csl is not killin of ss

pro players needs to stay on top of that ranking in order to be able to play in csl.

    well, son just my opinion.lol

Thanks eaglehelang for the link. I found another link posted by chris-cc in another thread but it's in Chinese that I cant understand. So it is confirmed that TH will play in the CBL.

The league is just new, like a baby.
It will grow up and maybe some changes will be applied.

Who knows other countries will have their own league as well, then we will see something like European Champions League (in soccer). But, certainly, that's just too far.

    yes, baby league now

    probably when it grows bigger

then bwf ss or ps or zs will not matter

then it would be killing them off

Don't get me wrong. IT IS ok to set up clubs or a league.

BUT, lets hope that the big players still play in the big SS events so that their fans can cherish and get to see them play.

This means, not at the expense of the world league. Like football, its ok to have a league, then big players also plays in euro and world up.

Hopefully badminton like cbsl will not have such issues where players got better money there (not that bad really) and tired (pulls out of SS).

Do you get what I am getting to? That is to ask china (or those players int the league) not to be selfish.

One thing for sure, during OG qualification season (top 16 for singles, top 8 for doubles) and WC qualification(top ???), participation in SS, GP Gold will be in full swing. In between, less.
