    Why would engraving a different letter into the cone affect the racket?

    They are
    When I went to shop for an Arcsaber Z Slash the shop guy showed me 2 Nanospeed 9900 (At the point I didn't know the difference apart from the Prices)
    one of them was S$200+ (SP) and the other S$300+(IP)
    The man said that was IP meaning International Player and SP meaning South Pacific
    And Singapore would be marked = SG not SP

    SP=Singapore.

    the reason why Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore gets SP code is because Yonex goes through a company called Sunrise in Singapore in order to sub-distribute to Hong Kong and Malaysia. therefore all rackets from there are SP (Singapore) coded.

    again, this is distribution code, not where the rackets are manufactured. all high end Yonex rackets are made in Japan.

    I thought :
    JP = JAPAN
    SP = SIngapore
    IP = International Pacific

    IMHO, JP and SP coded racket is different.
    Paint quality wise : JP paint quality is superior than SP
    Feel : JP racket feels more solid. erm.. i think it is stiffer.
