A lower tension allows the string to move more and break as a result of the ridges that form. Higher tension will limit that movement, but mishits are more of a danger and will break the string more often...so higher tension will make your string last longer if you dont mishit often or not hard (i.e. not on smashes)

thanks for telling me this.. now i finally know why my string didn't last longer than my friend's ( mine is usually 24-26, while my friend is 29-30 )

i think next time i'll try 26/27 so that it doesn't move much

Lent my MX80 to my friend on Thursday and today. He fell in love with the MX80 so much that he's going to pick one up for himself. He says it feels close to his Yonex Arcsaber 10 (stiff and slightly head heavy).

Bought mine at Racquet World, Pertama Complex, KL! They gave me plastic bag. Too bad until i paid only knew that :<

Racquet price at RM 560.00 no free grip, no discount on string. Tried negotiate with them, but get nothing.

Usually bought at Puchong AJ or Modern Sport. But since i moved to KL so hardly go there.

It will be my 1st time and last time buying at Racquet World.

Anyway, back to the topic! mx80 really a nice racquet to use, easy to adapt to.

Buying it bcos i need a racquet spec between 9900 and VT80.

9900 very fast and good defence racquet, less mistake i made using it but with my skill level, i cant generate good smash with it.

VT80 better smash weapon but for single only, tried used it for double but can only play with people as my level.

MX80 just suite my current level, fast racquet with slight head heavy. Using it for 2 sessions, timing still can be better but i feel my game more interesting. Having my defend while better smash with it.

Sad day for me and my MX80....my racquet frame juz broke during a game without any clashing or even a smash...in the midst of a play juz realise the racquet frame collapses....no signs of frame breaking up or any prior cracks...even my stringer never mentioned any problem on my racquet frame during his last restring of my racquet...and to think i've been using MX80 sparingly recently as i use MX70 more often.....sigh....i would have keep this racquet forever even if it didnt suit my play well as i really love the design of the racquet

Nope it's 1 side of the frame only....anyway the lifespan of my MX80 is only 9mths if i could remember clearly :P

Unlikely to claim warranty since it's difficult to prove that there was no clash of racquets or mishandling....anyway now at a dilemma whether to buy another 1 or to wait for the 2012 london olympic edition or LYD edition of BS09
