My dealer over here says: -
i) Hologram sticker ( they say it changes every 3 months, we wouldnt know lol)
ii) Shaft laser coding ( 3 alphabet + 7 numbers = 10)
iii) The design ... should be clear!
Not much can be said since many fake rackets these days would follow the exact same pattern ... you really need to trust your dealer and the reviews from the people who bought it from there too

Hmm, I don't see any hologram sticker on my victor rackets, there is one on my VT70 though. I have some pictures of my rackets, I will post them. Oh yeah, the reason I'm getting the MX80 in the first place is to replace my SW35 which died due to a clash
(will post pics too).

You could post your broken sw35 under the subforum (hope you did use your sw 35 for more than a year before it broke ><!)
I would like to show you my mx80 hologram sticker but i already put another grip over the original grip >.<! You already receive your mx80? There should be a hologram sticker at the grip for authenticity purpose

Here's pictures of my MX70, VT70 and my poor SW35
I hope its resting in peace now.

Sadly, I've only used my SW35 for around 5 or 6 months
. And no, I haven't received my MX80, but so far both my MX70 and SW35 didn't come with holographic stickers when they arrived. Although I'm not sure if it was just peeled off when my dad brought them over seas with him.

Its kinda out of topic if we are talking about authencity over here lol!
Anyway, the sticker should be with the plastic wrap around the grip. Maybe your dad did tear our the wrap on the grip
? Since you already paid for the mx80, lets just wait and see~ Hard to identify these days. Fake mostly looks like real too lol zzzz

@adrian
Yeah, when I received the rackets the plastic wrap over the grip is already torn off, that may be why I didn't see it. I thought It might have been on the cone like YY ones.
Sorry for going off topic
@Koh
Thanks, I have a picture above of the codes, if it's not clear enough.
MX70 - TWH8292496
VT70 - 250212TW (There's another number on the shaft which is 2399033)
I'll put up pictures of the buttcaps soon.
On topic : When I used the MX80 demo racket, I was afraid at first of the stiffness, jumping from MX70 to MX80, but to my surprise, I played fine with it.

Cool, *cross finger* if your MX80 is genuine, really a good buy
!
Yup the feeling is great especially when i smash, can really feel the momentum of the shuttlecock! But the downside, i still need to practice of my stroke since it is kinda heavy, movement kinda slow and i always hit the head frame = =!

@Koh
I'm actually not sure which store my dad bought it from, but he said it's in Taipei Taiwan. I don't think they have an online store site.
@adrian
It does feel awesome the few times I smashed with it. Keep practicing! You'll be comfortable with it soon enough. I was lucky and had no problem adjusting from the MX70 to the MX80, although it might be because I had the SW35 before which was quite stiff by it's own regard.

You sold your mx80 for a mx60? I hope you like your new racket
, the stiffness of the mx80 makes the smashing power more solid compare with the other 2 other series.
Nevertheless, not everyone can handle the stiffness. I cant play my mx80 over more than an hour, my arm cant handle it lol
! Yeah, wait for your review chewy cause i aint good with reviewing a racket yet~
Aryan, if you browse through all the previous entries .... there are quite some reviews about the mx80~ *cheers*

I have no experience in reviewing rackets
Although I'll try my best once I get a hold of it. Another thing I'm happy about, not only did my dad get me the MX80, he also got me the MX2012 London racket as well, for $135 CAD.
-
05-08-2012, 01:34 AM #2055
Thats odd ... MX 2012 london couldnt be that cheap since it is a limited edition with bag, usb, water bottle n the victor string
. It should be over $200+ ...I need to know which taipei dealer your dad is getting it from? OFFICIAL DEALER ? lol
-
05-08-2012, 01:36 AM #2056
It's not the entire package
it's only the racket + stringing and a bag that can hold around 3-4 rackets

okay ... didnt know you can seperate the limited edition victor racket zzz! Anyway, tell us about the rackets when you get a hold of it. What a bargain i must say
