That's one of the weirdest reasons I've heard for not playing with a racket anymore....

Does anyone know if the MX80 is gonna go back on sale in the UK anytime soon?

You have clearly not quite come across Ferrerkiko and his love of all things Lin Dan before. One of my friends who is a very good player chooses his rackets primarily on colour. To each his own as they say (in England).
I too am interested in the MX80 returning to UK shores. The MX70/ London isn't quite the same, it doesn't feel as direct. Admittedly they are easier to use on an a tired day but the MX80 makes me feel a lot more involved with hitting the shuttle as opposed to the former which bends too much so loses a bit of feel and control.
My one MX80 is getting lonely on it's own in the racket bag, even with an MX London for company :P

Sevex:
Have you tried or considered the Precision Pro? I have MX80 and MX70 and find the P Pro to be just as direct as 80 but with less stiffness making power very easily accessible.

Just for the fun of it, I played with my previous MX80 last night, after having changed to MX70 and P Pro as my current go-to. Wow! I've forgotten the incredible immediacy, directness, and accuracy of this thing! No other racket I've played with can come close to it.

That's why I want some more MX80's
I did exactly the same thing as you only with an MX London and PP Tpro. The only problem is as soon as I get a bit tired power gradually reduces. But with a bit more fitness and strength training it should be fine. It is certainly a racket worth getting better for.

What string would you guys recommend for occasional nylon play at around 23lbs tension?
Also, what is the most effective workout routine for training the endurance required to tame this racket?

Agree with all of them... MX80 is very directed. Very suitable for playing double in my opinion, due to its agility and able to execute sudden explosive shot for surprising our opponent.
