Thanks Jump-Smash for the review... hehe you call it new breed of monster with ++accuracy.. dang.. that too tempting considering you also a SW35 owner ... and weeyeh point out its stability that also what racket should have.. i might considering it once i test the stiffness of its shaft..

I strung mine with VS850 tension main/cross 26/28 lbs (digital)
it feels very tight, more than my other racket which are all strung at the same tension
probably because of the 80 holes grommet ... which also provide more stability and accuracy too
    too bad I couldn't compare to Spira 21 because I only have SW35 & BS10

    @ awekuda
    and once again yes
    it's a beast in it's own way ...

Do you have the 3U version of the MX80?
What's the BP, strung and with overgrip? Do you have grip size G2?
I'm waiting for the 3U/G3 version. G2 is a bit to small for me, because I want to keep it head heavy and won't effect the BP much due tons of grip.
I'm waiting for your detailed review. Thank you for your first impressions.

    yes my MX80 is 3UG2
total weight 93.5 grms (with Yonex Super Grab overgrip and strung with Victor VS850 0.68 mm)
    Balance Point 294 mm

as comparison : other 3UG2 Victor rackets

SW35 total weight 94 grms (with Yonex Super Grab overgrip and strung with YY NBG98 0.66 mm)
    Balance Point 298 mm

BS10 total weight 95 grms (with Yonex Super Grab overgrip and strung with Poly Fibre Sensicore M5 0.65 mm)
    Balance Point 296 mm

definitely a very interesting racket if that is the case.

there is also a new stringing pattern for the X80, not just the 80 holes, but Victor's 2011 catalog recommends a one string method similar to the Haribito pattern. i am not sure if this was the case for last year.
i'm glad too because it live up to my expectancy

What I can say is that it is a very stiff racquet and I wasn't able to get as much power from it as compared to the SW35. Also, the feel is not as solid as the SW35, in fact the feel is pretty close to the BS10 (better than the feel of the Spira 21).

Though my MX80 is strung with BG66U at 26lbs, the tension feels like 28lbs probably due to the 80 grommets.
do you have the link to the video that you've mentioned ?

Anyway for Singapore fans of this racquet, it's already available at Chris's shop today....from wat i see, left abt 6pieces or so as of afternoon time....hehe....hope it's the right choice for me, as i'm not so used to stiff racquets, but really find the colour scheme so much attractive compared to the SW37, BS12....if 3U runs out, maybe u all can try the 4U, coz during the weight difference was only 1.6grams (4U is abt 85.5 and 3U abt 87.1 without strings and grip)

I would like to give a small review after putting in 2 hours with that racket.

    Specs: 3uG2
    String: Victor VS850 @ 26lbs
Grip: Victor BR333 over original grip

    Smash: 8/10
Decent power generated from this racket, surprisingly the stiff shaft combine with the hexa frame design work-well-together. You can swing faster, and increase in your swing speed due to the hexa-frame design gives you the extra bit of power in your smash.

Comparing it to my BB01, it has just that bit more sting in my smash. But this comparison is a bit unfair since BB01 has a more flexible shaft.

Comparing it to BS12, it stands out more. Since BS12 is design to be more all-round racket.

    Drop: 9/10
The control provided is really good, I am able to drop to the front and both side consistently, however, you will need to adjust your swing time more to get the correct contact on your string bed.

I have no idea why, but with the BS12 I am able to get the timing correct after a few swing

    Clear: 10/10
Clear is effortless, easy, crisp, precise. Needless to say, this racket is excellent in the power & control aspect.

    Drive: 8/10
Power is there, control is definitely there, again, need to adjust your swing timing, you will realize you swing faster and hit the frame or off the sweet spot frequently.

    Net: No comment yet
Don't know why, all my game yesterday were just driving, pushing, tapping, but... no netting

This is all! Will try it out more this weekend and maybe update on my "feeling".

    Thank you.

From Victor's own reference, looks like Meteor X80 is the stiffest thus far amongst all Victors. Really love to see a clash between MX80 and VT80.
