Not usually, because factory grip + 0.6 overgrip = 15g, Karakal PU Super = 14g.

BP295 and 95g is almost exactly the same as my BS11.....but it's not uber stiff.

    Hrm.

yes I think MX80 is not too demanding like SW35
SW35 need extra effort to be able to harvest it's maximum power and potential

I think anybody who finds Brave Sword series easy enough to use
will have a big chance to be able to use MX80 as well

No, you said yours was 305mm when you tested out the 4U and didnt like it lol, mines just 301mm.
I dont like putting overgrips over original grips because it just makes the racket more headlight and overall heavier which I don't think is necessary because it's already extremely fast

Although overgrips do add weight, they don't make the swinging balance any different. Because the pivot point is basically at the wrist, adding weight to the grip does not change the playing balance point, only the static balance point, this is because you have not added any weight to the head.

Yeh, that makes sense. I just meant that rackets are easier to defend and wrist smash with when there is added weight on the handle i.e. weight or more grips, there is no denying that and there was no need for the MX80 to have this.

vibration: people who like their racket feels like a padded sofa will not like the MX80. there is a slightly higher level of vibration travelling down to the handle, more than usual rackets. it is probably due to the livelier and more solid shaft. it doesn't bother me, but some might not like it.

    just received my x80 x2

both strung with vs-850 with 1 layer of G09 grip (i find the original grip padding softer)

    these are measured as follow

first mx80 = close to 300mm BP, 94 gram weight
second mx80 = close to 296mm BP, 93 gram weight

both shafts as stiff as my 9900, maybe a bit more.

Hey guys, quick question. Am not that great when it comes to BP/weight in regards to rackets. But lets say I remove the original grip and put on a RKEP Ultimate Grip over it. Would it affect the rackets performance dramatically (as in more head light/head heavy?) Or is just safer to slap on an overgrip on top of the original grip?

300mm ? That's pretty high. Did you remove the original grip?

I think we've been over this before in previous threads. The hand is not the fulcrum or pivot point, because the hand gets thrown forward during the stroke.

So changing the mass on the handle will still affect the swing, although not as much as the same amount on the frame.

    oh no you've misunderstood
    I said BP 305 mm
    that was VT80 4U
    not MX80 4U

so I've canceled my order of VT80 4U
instead I've ordered another MX80 which is just the right one for me
even balanced ~ slightly / moderate head heaviness (BP 292 ~ 293 mm)
good agility and great power too when you need it
    I vote for MX80 over VT80

Ohhhhhh I see totally misread it haha.

Anyone tried both MX80 4U and 3U with thoughts?
My 4U was brilliant in singles AND doubles, head heavy and powerful but super fast.
Just wondering if I should get a 3U next or just another 4U.

wait, I thought 300+mm BP is pretty normal after you string it? (especially head heavy racket like MX80)
    check directsports
    http://www.directsportseshop.co.uk/b...on_Racket.html

they put VT80 with string 310 after string, so IMO 300 is ok
